I'm considering buying a vrg gdi 1997 (not the vr4) and I was wondering what /o/ thoughts on the car.

Be wary of /o/merica
Just saw a commercial for this. I think they've recaptured a bit of the "shaggin' wagon" aesthetic that's been missing since the lead sleds of the 70's. Has /o/ discussed this yet?

You can already order them senpai.
This car just made the CTS obsolete.
>built by a genuinely erudite manufacturer, perhaps the second most important in American history
>stunning body, reminiscent of the massive late 50s / early 60s classics with modern Rolls Royce and Bentley cues
>aggressive looking, and yet somehow strangely sensible in its details
>never seems to get old, even the first models with more than a decade still stand out in traffic
>comfy interior, far more spacious and comfortable than BMWs and Mercedes on the same price range
>beautiful dashboard and steering wheel
>relatively fast for such a massive thing, significantly more than your average sedan
>lots of properly maintained models for sale under 10k
So, what's the catch /o/?
>>14746178
the fact that everything but the fifth and eigth thing you said are your own opinions

Yeah because of niggers and tweeny-fos.

Thoughts?
It only has 2 wheels

On the paint job or the car itself?
I hate Convertibles (especially soft tops) and the Art while not necessarily something i would ride around in especially in yellow would probably look better in a darker colour in my opinion otherwise breddy good.

Do 100mph through town with all the windows down while wearing a gas mask and releasing deadly spores upon the town's folk.
Be known as super villian forever.

Just call a detail shop and pay them around $250. Good as new. Albeit, you will KNOW about the spores still in your HVAC system that will slowly be blown into your face.
what are some cars that don't give away your socioeconomic status? i.e. people can't tell if the driver is a richfag or a poorfag (pic related is the only one i can think of)
any 4 year old middle-tier car
>>14745695
middle tier = camry or 5-series beemer?
New superminis, because capital needs to be allocated productively. Car isn't among good investments.
I've been posting on a few forums that I thought might help but now I need to expand search. Looking for two old cars, 62 falcon and 66 Catalina. I have VIN/VID s for both. I want to find current owners and buy them. Tried dmv, police, junkyard friends, now time to try 4chan lol and way to find these cars? Sorry if it's getting annoying people...
wait for the vin check thread
I tried the vin check thread in the catalog but he only does vehicle history reports on 1981 and newer. I didn't see any other ones so I just kinda made one
>>14745469
>I have VIN/VID s for both
Unless you post them, this search is over.

Guys, I can't believe there's noone who has B2 Coupe.
Finally purchasing a one owner 560SEL in the following month.
downsides are
>it's fairly high km (190k km)
>is an 1987
>driver side power window doesn't work (easily fixable)
>body is roughed up but nothing big just Canadian salt otherwise no holes whatsoever
anyone know a fair bit about 560sec/sel?
Owner has all maintenance records to this day
additional information
>wants 1500$ for it
I intend to use it as a comfy daily and restoration project

Better become the neighborhood expert on K-Jetronic Fuel Injection or have a decent enough income to afford german car repair.
What's it like to own/drive around in a convertible, /o/?
I'm tempted to pull the trigger on an '08 $8k Saab just for the hell of it, while i'm still 26 and without a wife to put my balls in a vice, however i'm not the attention-y show-off-type kinda guy, i just want to cruise around and enjoy my youth, will i regret this purchase?
it's pretty comfy.
don't get a 4 seater convertible, that's lame.
>>14745169
It's incredible. You will never want to go back after.
>>14745169
Saabs are a good vert if you don't want attention.
But get a warranty on it. Those late gm Saabs were not cheap when they broke. And they broke.
What car is Bernie driving in this pic? Audi R8 or a Tesla Roadster?

The same car he drove in the other thread
Hi /o/. I want a reliable wagon to transport musical equipment to shows. This 96 Volvo 850 gets excellent blue book reviews, but I'm worried that the aftermarket mods have messed it up too badly: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/5515274011.html
what do you think? pass?
anybody?
Remember the man who bumped your dying thread. Remember me
i had a v70 which was a decent car. everything little will break from time to time but it is general easy to fix. watch out for a serious problem with the pcv system as they are a bitch to change. also the front shocks like to blow at around 100k. i would look for a non turbo 850 just less to go wrong.

So I've been waiting for the 2016 coupe for a while now. and while they're starting to slowly show up in dealerships there is still not the model im looking for. now I've been looking at the BRZ. I feel like it is a little out of budget I got a quote On one for 24k ID like to not go over 20. how unpractical of s car is the brz ? it seems like a fun drive but not a good cAr for any longevity. I'm b4 the 2016 civic sux
>>14744946

You could get a way better used car than either of those for 20k

trying to rebuild credit and it's easier to get a loan on a new car.
plus I'm sick of shit boxes. I want something new
One is a boring econobox that they made smaller to pretend to be sporty. The other is a dedicated sports car even though its a NA 4cyl. why the fuck are you cross shopping them.
You also stated you don't want a shit box but 4k more is enough to break your budget? You're already buying out of your range. Shouldn't even matter in the slightest if youre doing a loan.
Buy a 3-4 year old civic for 10-13k. You'd probably get the cvt civic or an auto brz anyways and ruin it going from how stupid your question is.
Also the frs is cheaper.
So I've been searching around and I can't find an answer for this.
Why does slightly pulling the handbrake in an ff car stop oversteer? I've seen keiichi tsuchiya do it when racing in an integra, and I've seen it referenced elsewhere, but I can't find out why people to it. Does that tiny bit of brake pressure going to the rear wheels really slow them down enough to prevent oversteer? Or what's going on there
>>14744813
Yes
>>14744813
I tried it in the snow and it actually works. Guess it shifts some of the weight off of the front wheels. You sometimes see rally car drivers doing this.
>>14744919
This helps with understeer. It would probably help with oversteer too.
