What is the most practical yet most fun but comfortable on long highway trips type of car?
Hard mode: it has to have been made in the last 20 years
Weeaboo mode: Made in Japan if possible
Big V8 sedan.
>>14765130

>>14765122
Mercedes S65 AMG.
Is there ever going to be a point where we can talk about cars again without /pol/ and /k/ spillover shitting up every thread with irrelevant nonsense and butthurt shitposting?

Protip:
It's /o/. Most people crossboard.
>>14764673
Crossboarding isn't the problem, manchildren from boards known for circlejerks regarding their political beliefs injecting them into every thread is

>tfw shitbox burns 1 quart of oil every 250-300 miles.
how fucked am I?
>>14764598
i drive a subaru that burns a sump of oil every two days
its fine, be on top of the oil and it will run forever. Unless its economical to fix it then fix it otherwise cuck out of it and buy another car
Put thicker oil in it brah
My 4.6 2v mustang has 200k on it, was burnin a quart every 500 with 5w20 so i put 10w30 in it. Made it pass smog and i get about 1500 miles now before i have to add. No knocking or anything when i start it.
>>14764626
I put 10w-30 instead of 5w-30. Didn't fix anything.
What is the best car I can get for around $2000 for a beginner driver who JUST got his driver's license?

Do I just need to be patient? The price is a little high (maybe 10%) but it's in immaculate condition. And nobody has even thrown me an offer.
Your pictures are shit. Is the ad any good? Is it tl;dr?
>>14763929
You are selling a modded Mustang for more than it's worth, by your own admission.
Lack of interest is completely unsurprising.
Mods do not add value, they only tell people you beat on the car and that they need to worry about the quality of the work and parts.
Instead, they will find another Mustang that is not modified, it is not hard, because it is a fucking Mustang.
Quit being fucking retarded.
>>14763949
Literally all this, couldn't be said any better.
Also as a Canadian, Publix is dank as fuck. I love that store, makes our grocery stores look like FUCKING SHIT.
hey /o/ i'm in the market to buy a used car i have about 10,000$ to spend i want something fast that i can beat on yet still daily drive somewhat comfortably
i don't know much about fox's and i know everyone says "don't buy someone else's project" but this car

seems like a really good deal
clean body ,decent interior, new/rebuilt engine and transmission + receipts. He says everything mechanical works and i was already able to talk him down a bit.
Can someone...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Spending $8,000 on a Fox is pretty insane but if he has receipts showing he's put that much money into it recently then chances are it's pretty tight. If the suspension mods were 10,000 drifts ago it may be a different matter entirely and you won't know until you drive it fairly hard which you may not be comfortable doing on a test drive.
A good approach might be to have the current owner drive you sound a bit IN it and take it close to it's limits just do you'll have an idea where they are. They can vary significantly on a modified fox.
>>14763938
thanks for the advice i planned to have him drive me around a bit before i made the purchase
>Spending $8,000 on a Fox is pretty insane
is it really ? i'm really just trying to get the most performance per dollar what kind of vehicle would you recommend in this price range?

How does /o/ feel about driving gloves?

I can't get my rotor off. Halp.
>beat the hell out of it with a hammer

Use the bolt holes to screw it off.
Blow torch.
>>14763372
>Use the bolt holes to screw it off.
Did that, the threads disintegrated.
>torch
To cut it off maybe. It's completely fused and won't move at all.
I'm really out of ideas, I thought the puller was going to work for sure.
>>14763365
Quit being a cluck and hit it like you mean it.
How is the 2.5L Jeep engine?
I've been in the market for a new car for a while, and after driving a '98 Wrangler 2.5 through mexico for a day I love it. I know the 4.0s are far superior, but I was just curious about the 2.5 in terms of reliability and gas milage, we didn't seem to use that much
Also, Jeep bread
It's gutless.
Surprisingly plucky, had 160k on mine before the transmission (AX5) took a shit and then got a quick once over before being shoved into a Comanche in favor of putting a SBC in my YJ
The Wrangler has the aerodynamics of a brick so a smaller engine won't really help with mileage.
What type of motor is this?
D15B2
>>14763117
Vtec?
Ricer
Ive been trying to sell my MR2 and have been getting no luck. Long story short, the engine is dry and most likely needs to be replaced.
Im in CA and been asking $500 or OBO. It is stuck at my now Ex's house so I need to get rid of it asap. I have had it for 6years so I would have someone put some tlc into than crushed into a cube.
Is my asking price too high? I figure my lowest is $350-400...
Wrong side of the country but someone would ask at least twice that for a non running car out here.
>>14762995
Just my luck lol
M8, that AW11 needs to find a owner who will love it. You have had it for 6 years, don't do It just for money. Make sure it will find a loving home, where a /o/tist will restore it, take care of it, treasure it.
Don't take it below 500$. Make sure the man who is buying that car is enthusiastic about it.
I wanna get a cafe racer like pic related. Anyone know where I can get a parts kit for 4K. I know there's a general bike thread but I felt like I get more hits if I started a new thread.
Doesn't even need to be name brand.
What? Just go on craigslist and look for an old 70s bike that fits the stle, then buy the different bars, gas tank ect ect.
>>14762895
I've never owned a bike before. So I'm new to this. But I can do that? I kinda just wanted something new though too.
>>14762926
Well there are new cafe racer style bikes, but buying and fixing up an old bike is way cooler plus you learn a lot about the machine.
Please discuss the Fiat 500.
Whether it be the base model 1.4L, the turbo, or whatever, I want to know YOUR OPINION on the Fiat 500.
Zero interest in the 500 on this board apparently. Very sad.

>>14763853
Yeah, it did not take off like I had hoped.
Oh well, the time may yet come for a 500 thread that isn't purely about the Abarth.
