Thanks to the country I live in, Canada...with winter lows of -30c to summer highs of 30c...gas cars will always be superior...

Sabotage the engagement and confess your feelings. If that fails, kill her and steal her skin.
No

Toyota Celica Supra?
Hey guys, I just saw this when I drove back into my driveway, what is it? It's clearly some fluid, but I don't really know anything about cars...
>>14781180
Looks like oil but hard to tell. Is it dark brown or black in color or is it red?
>>14781190
It's more light brown, and it's somewhat slick.
>>14781196
Probably oil then. Look under the car and see if you can tell where it's coming from. Also check your dips tick and see how much oil you've lost. Looks like it's leaking pretty bad so try not to drive it much.

100 Honda civics
I can't fucking stand them anymore.
Almost every new car is a fucking inline 4 or turbo'd inline 4.
The engine variety among average cars is GONE. They all sound the same, they all are tuned to "perfection" meaning smooth power delivery so linear and smooth it's almost painfully boring.
Seems like you Burgers still have tons of 6 or 8 cylinder cars around, so enjoy them as long as you can.
At this point I'd even like to see more 3 cylinders, at least they sound more eager and a little like 6 cylinders.

>The engine variety among average cars is GONE.
>average cars
Don't buy a cheap as fuck shitbox made to be driven to the grocery store and back by mothers then.
there are tons of 6 and 8 cylinder cars in europe aswell m8. stop being poor.

this does make me wonder why more than one car company exists when they are all running shake and bake
Hi /o/,
Quick question. My engine has a dual mass flywheel (DMF). I plan on doing some work on it, including moving the rev limiter upwards. Currently, the engine revs to 6500 before hitting the limiter.
Now I recall someone telling me it is not preferrable to rev a DMF beyond 6500 rpm. I didn't understand the logic behind that statement, and I can't find any supporting evidence for it. Is there any truth to it or can I raise the limiter to 6750/7000 without issues with the DMF?
>>14780587
just ditch the dmf m8, all that excess wieght and lack of reliablity are never a good thing, even in a standard car.
>>14780587
It's not bad, but the DMF is heavy, so it's won't be rev heavy, It also lets you keep better fuel economy by allowing the engine to hold momentum.
Also if you go to a light single flywheel your engine isn't going to shake. A lot.
>>14780590
I understand the logic behind your statement, but I haven't ever heard from any owners having trouble with the DMF, so I don't think it's likely to break down. When it does, I'll always have the choice to replace it with single mass. It'd be a bit of a waste of money to do it pre-amptively.
Thoughts on the Suzuki Samurai?
I drive my mother's old one.
It's been 100% reliable for me, a lot of Jeep drivers come up to me and ask me about it, and it feels like a deathtrap if you go above 60 in it.
It's slow as fuck, but you don't really expect to be overtaking people with it.
must be hard to get one since I heard merchants fear the samurai

What's up everyone, I'm looking at buying 2008-9 golf gti, gt sport (maybe diesel?) or r32. I'm leaning towards the gti as it seems like the best all rounder. Anyone have any advice?
I drive a lot for work so economy is important, but it needs to be fun to drive. I would definitely consider a tune so anyone has experience with this it would be helpful.
Cheers!
9/10, good effort

I have a boner for the R32, but they're hard as fuck to find.
GTI would probably be best, though I prefer the gen before that's looks.
as far as tunes, i mean come on dude just find a shop, go in, and ask.
I know dealerships that will do tunes, but don't go expecting to get a full race tune.
You are with your girlfriend/wife/crush/oneitis/whatever in a carpark and this guy comes up and slaps her ass. Overwhelmed by his bold approach and autism you find yourself stunned, overcome with an onset of crippling Assburgers, watching helplessly as he walks to a dirty old white Crown Vic. He puts a rag under his foot and poses and challenges you to a race.
Now this isn’t just some regular old Crown Vic, it’s a goddamn second gen P71. Police. Fucking. Interceptor. Built to leap kerbsides and chase down the bad guy, the Sperg has gone a step further and equipped...

You are standing next to your shitbox. You have $10,000USD to blow on it, which will be magically installed as soon as you hop in to chase the Sperg down. If you are a nocar you have an additional $5,000USD to spend on a shitbox; it can only be spent on the shitbox though, so any leftover vanishes. As soon as you get in he takes off and the race is on.
First you’ll have to chase him down a straight road which ends in a sharp turn and leads into a nigger neighbourhood full of twisty roads and roadblocks and burning piles of rubble. Once you’re out of Coontown it’s...

A Chevy Chevette with a LS1 swap and cambered wheels. With how lightweight i'd be, i'd be on his tail through the entire chase. He would die from uncontrollable laughter however, because an autist cannot imagine a Chevette with an LS1 swap. I know that for a fact because I am one. I'd rescue my cutie then we'd probably die a mile down the road from the chevette inploding, but hey, such is life. Live by tbe pedal, die by the pedal

Just found a really well priced corolla gts that hasn't been molested and just needs exterior/interior work.
I have been wanting a fun backroads car, was also looking at rx7 fc and mr2 sw20
Should I pull the trigger /o/?

newfag here trying to determine if a 2000 audi tt is a trap. advice?
VW charges $2000 to change the timing belt on those. Don't buy one if you don't have the money to maintain it.
Why would anyone buy this ugly ass car?
>>14779549
Like Honda or Toyota or anyone else would charge you much less.
LOL
I'm about to sell my '07 Renault Megane convertible and buy an rx8.
I've heard that you have to regularly change the oil, but aside from that is this a reliable car?
>Pic related: what I heard rx8 drivers look like

>horrible fuel economy (this should be a big problem since you're a euro and prices are insane)
>guaranteed engine rebuilds
>poor performance compared to non-rotary vehicles in the same price range
