So... what's keeping the sticky from being upgraded?
At this point a fucking soccer mom can come up with a better car buying guide.
and fine, if there's not enough hot pockets to get the janitors off their ass, fine. But can't they be open to user input? or if we reach a consensus on a guide to be put up as the new sticky?
Is this shit really that hard?
>>14794682
Sticky was made by some dude who donated the time into making it with input from other people. I don't see why it would be necessary since the current one is only a couple of years old. Maybe next or the year after would be a good time for an update.
I don't see much harm in starting a new one now, though. However it does requre somebody to step up and do it.
>>14794682
needs a major autist, by himself to do it.
shit /o/ couldnt agree on any one single matter let alone make a guide for people based on these views.

I'm still laughing at the fact that someone actually thinks you can find a $5k or less WRX in the US that runs at all.
There is a celica 81 on sale in my area, for 1k
Buy now 1.5k
No rust
300k on the milage

Get a vin check then go look at it
>>14794638

It's like any other shitbox for the same price except retro. It's probably broken or nearly so.
What are these covers called/for? I tried googling a few terms such as "rally wheel covers" and got nothing.
>>14794582
they're called wheel trims
they're for scene points, like everything else on that obomination
>>14794599
Ah that sucks i was hoping for something functional out of them. Thanks for answering despite the Hoonigay pic
>>14794612
They are functional, so functional in fact that I think they were banned from racing.
I can't remember the name though, but they feature on a lot of old racing cars, see pic for example.
"Turbo fan wheel" brings up a few results but that's likely not the correct name.
What does /o/ thinks about this car?
It car.
It car.

Just pulled this out of a customers car, new set of plugs and it was running properly. Could easily have done some damage, anyone else got any near miss stories?

Was banging some broad like last month and almost blew my load inside of her. Was so high I thought I put a condom on but I didn't. It's not fun being a degenerate

That's obviously a power ass massager. Just lean into it and feel the rumble in your jungle.
>old opel shitbox
>2016
Wat.
99.9999% if powersteering problems is it failing. Meaning you have to invest a little more manual force, is all.
i have yet to be convinced electric power steering is anything other than a way to get 1-2mpg more out of the car and satisfies the bean counters
when can we get pure EVs that don't have to worry about this shit that run a proper power steering pump instead
I have $145K to spend on a car.

A $1000 corolla from the 90s is a better car.
GM made electric superchargers real.
Why isn't this available in the aftermarket yet?

so what are some reasonable daily driver models to look into. my budget is 4-7k usd. a sedan, hatchbacks would be ok. I'm in ca so it's mostly sunny, no terrible weather but lots of traffic.
what are some good car models I should look into that have been good to you?
pic related, doesn't seem too bad.
>>14792640
Could you install an electric car charger? How long is your commute? City or highway? Do you have any credit?
>>14792640

No. I'm sure I can figure it out? Are you going to recommend a hybrid?
My commutes are usually 8-15 miles miles. I live next to a city and drive highway and both regular streets often. LA is a huge car driving area.

is it a good idea to buy some cheap ass rx7 with a blown engine and swap some common non- rotary engine (its a real nice looking car!) in? can i get a shop to do this? how much do you think it'll cost and how reliable could it be?
-sa-ge-
>>14792436
>rx7 with a blown engine and swap some common non- rotary engine
Even though you stated the RX7 in question would already have a blown engine its probably still going to rustle someone's jammies.
>how reliable could it be?
The engine you are swapping itself should be just as reliable as it was in the car it was originally in unless the RX7 you are buying is a beat-up shitbox rusting away.
>>14792436
>how much do you think it'll cost
About $500 per cylinder.
