if its wrecked inside either gut it and go full race or steal the interior from on of the other 3 million integras.
>>14876420
Looks like an integra with a B16 swap. Not a type R because this is America.
My sister's car broke down twice this month and the first bill was 380 dollars, and it broke down again and now it's gone up to 1300 dollars
she bought a smart car because of how compact it was and how fuel efficient it was and I was thinking in the back of my mind "this'll be bad in the long run" and lo and behold.
How in the fuck are we gonna get that money? I don't even make 1000 dollars a month, let alone 500. Not only that but my parents' disabilty goes towards the house (we take care of them) and internet. Why fucking live anymore?...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
sorry anon

>I don't even make 1000 dollars a month
You're just the person to be doing his own work faggot.
>>14876323
Technically it's not your problem.
What is exactly wrong with it?
Why is there so much technology in new cars? You don't even need half of it.
What the fuck.
>>14876205
Tech like what? Some stuff is just too basic not to include. If you're already laying a cable salad through the doors you might as well hook up window lowering / raising motors along with the central locks. Two cables more, boo hoo.
>>14876205
normies wanted it
The only technology /o/ wants is an auxiliary cord compatible radio
>>14876231
i believe he means infotainment, 500,000 airbags, complicated exhaust systems, driver aids, driving modes, transmission modes
>>14876205
Blame the eurofucks for the "satnav" obsession, especially the britfags. They're too stupid to find their way around a tiny fucking island.
Thinking of buying a fiero. Will the bullies at school call me a faggot?
>>14876145
They kind of fall apart
The plastics are so cheap, and most of these have been sunkept for the last ten years
I doubt you'll get bullied but i hope you can afford the upkeep
>>14876175
It's an iron duke, not v6. I thought only v6's fell apart?
>>14876191
eh i wasn't referring to the drive line

Why do they have to make everything look like a jap trying to shit
Aaaaand it's Toyota again.
Not surprised.
Apparently they snapped a few years ago after being called "boring" too often.
>>14876080
"Toyota Vellfire: The Strong Minivan"
seriously, that's actual ad copy
Does anyone buy them?
They are all Ian Callum creations.
>>14875969
Would if i could afford
Dat f-type

What needs to be done to a clean stock fox body to make it go around a track reasonably?
>>14875927
Everything.
Start with subframe connectors.
Then brakes and tires.
Engine mods should come after the supporting mods.
Buy something that isn't a fox body.
>>14875941
And get the LX notchback. They're the lightest 5.0 at only ~2800 lbs iirc.
At what age did you grow out of superchargers?
>le "one method of forced induction is objectively better than the other" meme.
as always it depends on
>packaging constraints
>budget constraints
>performance goals
>type of performance goals (all top end power, all low end, something else)
>what pairs best with your engine in general
>>14875957
name one application where supercharging is better than turbo or nitrous
>>14875968
my car, actually
>m62 v8
>engine bay is quite cramped, previous applications of turbos have had mixed results, since they almost always need to be remote turbos resulting in pretty noticable lag, power is hard to distribute evenly, and they tend to impact the exhaust note in a non flattering way.
>superchargers give nice torque curves with plenty of power potential and just pair well with the engine
You never really hear much about these. What does /o/ think about the Mazdaspeed 6?
Decent for a daily driver, can be kinda quick with mods, can get a really clean one for pretty cheap also. Seems as if mazdaspeeds kinda fly under the radar and dont really get hit with ricer tax.
>>14875667
>MS doesn't get ricer tax
Maybe the Mazdaspeed Protege.
The MS Miata, MS3 and MS6 are all taxed to shit where I live, though admittedly the MS6 generally starts at the lower end of the spectrum (assuming you can find one)
>>14875649
A sleeper by nature. I'd grab one if I had the chance.
Need help determining the year. I think it's 96-98
BMW 325i
form of side indicators on the quarterpanel suggests 90-95
>>14875472
Thinner bezeled kidneys and matte moldings suggest earlier E36, probably between 92 and 94

So /o/, my mom took her car into the dealership for an oil change because she's a pleb and her AC stopped working when she got home.
Naturally I investigated. Her pressure is perfect, her clutch is engaging, everything is perfect except it's not blowing cool air. I have no idea what it is. Any ideas? It's a newish Honda in good shape.
>>14875114
freon leak?
>>14875114
press the a/c button
>>14875118
No leaks, tested for that.
Alright carfags.
My truck took a shit so I'm thinking of buying this 09 Crown Vic Interceptor. I have always wanted one. Purchased in 2013 from a nearby county's Sheriff Dept.
166k miles
Oil change every 3000
Fleet maintained while in service
No problems.
$2500
Is this a good choice?
I'd buy it
>>14874543
yes. very much.
>>14874567
Thank you, also bump.
I found a 1990 CRX with an 89 integra engine and tranny swap.
The shell has 300k on it, the owner doesn't know the mileage on the engine.
He's asking $1,000 and the body is immaculate.
Should I buy it? I drive a hand-me-down SUV that gets literally 8mpg and I need a commuter to go to school.
I have always wanted a crx but I'm nervous about this one's mileage, and I have very little spare money to get something nicer.
>pic is same year and model, but not the car I'm looking at.
>shell has 300k on it
I meant 350k
>>14874477
If the body is immaculate then the shell alone is worth 1k. May not be the best daily but would be alright as a resto project.

This is the one. Body looks damn good for the year. It used to be red and was painted blue.
