Was I wrong in saying that the track favours handling over power? My driving is pretty much on the limit, I even have to heel-and-toe entering the Audi Kurve. How can I find 3 seconds on this short track?

If you grind on those, be prepared to clearcoat them, or you'll just end up with more oxidation.

So long story short, an 1989 International Harvester van that looks like this (picture in the ad was just thumbnail resolution, this image related is a GMC van but it looks almost the same) is for sale and I'm overwhelmed with feelings of just putting all my stuff in there and driving to the other coast. Look up Mercedes Benz Sprinter RV conversions. You can learn all you need from those.
International vehicles are simple to repair and their parts are not particularly expensive but they are uncommon. You may end up stuck for days waiting on a part. Haul a moped or other small motorbike with you for emergencies or just to save fuel on short trips. Diesel fuel economy isn't great.

Just picked up a new car. 2004 S2000 that has been well taken care of. Paint is in amazing shape for being 12 years old.
Only thing that bothers me is the two dents with paint chips in them.
Got a quote for $300 to deal with both of them.
Could really care less about the dents, I do however want to get the paint dealt with, especially on the small rust spot.
Would you do it yourself or take to bodyshop?
I just don't want to fuck it up, want to deal with it and not have to worry anymore.

So I went near pic related tonight to clear my head a bit and get away from the city. Anybody got any recommendations for good routes through the mountains here in southern california? glendora ridge road looks pretty good, might check it out another time.
Also, how do I not kill myself or anybody else while driving around up there? My old focus is fairly nimble, but the tires are budget tier. How close to the recommended speed posted on yellow signs is safe? Even doing 45 through a turn with a yellow posted sign of 35 felt borderline not safe.

Expensive to operate and repair. When you can install some electronic ticket giver and a moving gate on entrance and exit people can pay for by themselves. Can you imagine if some ass hat crashed into your carport tower and it tipped over?
