I have a question guys.
I was thinking about doing a shackle lift on my Jeep XJ. I have read that extended rear shackles can cause the leaf springs to wear out faster than normal due to the adjusted angle which would shift where the majority of the weight would distribute throughout the leaf spring. However, any pics I have seen of this occurring is with old rusty leaf springs. I currently have brand new leaf stock size spring replacements that I will be putting in soon.
I only plan on possibly lifting this vehicle about 2". With such a small lift and new...

lifting will strain all your suspension and driveline components senpai. just take a look at your wheel well and everything you see in there will be strained.

Is there any sense in buying a 456 for the performance when there are newer, cheaper and faster cars out there?
Does it drive particularly well or have some sort of intangible quality to it that would make it worth the maintenance and headaches over something like a Cayman S, E46 M3, etc.?
Assuming you give literally zero fucks about the heritage of the badge, obviously.
I don't think any newer, cheaper, faster cars have bottomed out in value like the 456.
A new mustang is faster, but will be worth half what you paid in a year.
They are not performance cars, they are very soft, the seat is easily the comfiest I've ever sat in, feels like a La-Z-Boy. They aren't particularly fast, the steering feel is good, the manual trans cars are kind of fun to drive but there's way more autos. The maintenance is rough, the shocks die all the time and only one or two people in the US can rebuild them, any seal can leak at any time just like every Ferrari. If you want performance get a 550 or 575.

Does anybody know what the duck this dial is? My little brother just bought a 2003 350z and it has this aftermarket dial underneath the dash. When you switch it it makes a beeping noise that sounds like R2D2. It corresponds with a small led on the steering column

I'm probably going for a Honda because muh reliability. Starting out with a 125cc, so it's either going to be shittons of 2-wheeled fun, or a slow heap of shit no matter what the brand.

Hey /o/ I need some advice
I'm current a student and I drive a Mazda 3 2009 but with 165k miles. I'm thinking of picking up a part time and I've gotten multiple calls from a delivery company for food that will most likely hire me. As far as I know it's basically like pizza delivery except with restaurants. Same food delivery type of deal. Anyways considering the year and miles on the car how bad am I going to fuck up my car if I do this? Just keep up on maintenance and you should be ok. Thinks like oil changes, coolant flushes, transmission servicing, brake servicing, brake and power steering servicing, keeping gaskets/hoses that go bad seem in rough shape changed. That stuff will keep your car running along nicely even if you do a delivery service. If it's heavy city stop and go driving you may want to shorten the intervals since that is some of the toughest on your car.

The reddish brown stuff is brake dust. If you get higher quality pads you'll probably see less of it. Don't go for the "gold" tier pads at Discount Auto if that's where you go. Since brakes are such an essential part of driving along with tires it's worth the money to get the best. Check some forums where...
