>those things hanging from their bumpers mean they want to race
So im having this dream.....
So I found a dealership who has an Opel GT in very good condition: the interior is mint and the body is pretty much rust free except a tiny patch where the paint is bloated a bit.
The drivetrain is kaput though. It needs a full engine rebuilt cause the engine is seized.
I am tempted to do two things:
1. swap a 2L from something or another
2. EV conversion
What do you guys think? If option 1, what would be ideal? I don't care about speed and performance. I just want it to be reliable and simple to work on. Minimal electric shit cause I only...

rebuild the engine
Maybe a more modern Opel/GM 2.0l would fit?
>>14930972
For the same effort, why not put in a V8?
Do you park nose in or do you back in?
Back-in master race reporting.
Seems pretty stupid to park nose in desu
anyone who parks nose in is either a soccer mom or a fucking idiot
>>14934100
Nose in. Don't really see the point of backing in most of the time.
>>14934100
It takes longer to back into a spot than to back out. It's so fucking stupid to back in.
ITT: retarded /o/ shit you used to believe as a kid
I'll start
>I used to think that hood pins on muscle cars were attatched to the engine so nobody could steal it
I had a great explanation on why the E39 M5 was slow in need for speed high stakes.
It was because the rear was "plump".
I used to think hood pins were electrical leads necessary for high power sports cars.
In my defense, they looked a lot like electrical leads. I also blame Gone In 60 Seconds.

I used to think a car's power came from shooting smoke out of the exhaust pipe

You have $200,000 to waste on a single car.
What car would you buy and what modifications would you do to it?

Yo, Im in the uk and its time for a new car.
The two im stuck on are the Audi R8 and the Nissan GTR.
This isnt the only place im looking for advice but more opinions always help, i have £100,000 max so have been looking at v10 r8s but a gtr would leave me with some change!
Hit me with your views!
And i dont like porsches, a friend has a cayman gt4 and to me it just looks like any other porsche
Test drive them both
>>14927689
Take the R8. It's V10 sounds godly compared to a V6
>>14927693
Im booked for a gtr allready on friday, r8 pendinga s there not many in my area
Howdy /o/, I'm wondering what you all pay monthly for your auto insurance. I'm 26, live in a safe part of the city, park on the street, have never made an insurance claim or received a moving violation, park on the street, drive a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, have a $1000 deductible on collision, and pay about $120. Am I crazy for feeling like that's a lot? Or is it just that I'm paying for 6 months at a time for my wife (who has the same rates) and I?
>>14923921
I'm 24yo no accidents, 1 8mph over speeding ticket 5 years ago, and I pay $50/mo for bare minimum on a '70 Beetle. My gf pays like $63 a month for a cheaper plan for her '07 Focus despite being 26 and having at fault totaled her old focus.
>>14923987
Do you have collision coverage on those cars? Or just liability?
>22
>just bought my first car, 04 grand prix

I'm getting fucked here arent I?

What exactly is wrong with this car /o/?
>$95k
That.
>>14922329
That's actually with zero options too, like shittiest seats, lights and colors. But that's the price with the best AWD engine so...

If I strap a single 20l fuel can to my 50ccm scooter I can probably outspeed this guy overland.

Sooooooo........What did you guys do today?
>speeding
W or HW?
>George Bush Parkway
>not speeding at 91.1 mph
What's the best way to avoid having your car broken into and/or stolen? As far as I know the best steps you can take are
>roll up your windows
>don't leave valuables in plain sight, lock them in your trunk if you can't take them with you
>don't leave spare keys in your car
>have a manual transmission (in America)
>>14929837
fuel pump kill switch
>>14929837
Don't live in a shit neighborhood.
>>14929837
Deterrence is key, because you can't stop anyone who's determined to steal *your* car. You just don't want your car to be an easy opportunity for a criminal passing by. I use a car club and dummy alarm light.

ALRIGHT YOU SEXY MOTHERFUCKERS.
I WANT YOUR GOD DAMN OPINIONS SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT.
I currently own pic related and its basically a piece of shit. Prob can only sell it for 14k.
>Hyundai
I have serious buyers regret from this car, I look back now to see that I have sinned. But seriously, its a really bad car, don't buy it.
What, in your opinion is the best NEW car I can get within a $30,000 price range?
I'm mainly looking for a car that says, "I want to look cool; but i'm also not spending too much cash because i'm a broke faggot."
Must be over 225 hp
FWD is acceptable but not preferred
If you say a Hyundai, I will take a shit in your air filter.
