I believe this will be my next motorcycle. Currently riding a BMW RT. I'm 51, and my hips are starting to go.

How does an Indian Roadmaster handle on designated shitting streets?

I know nothing about cars, so I have no idea if what the mechanic is saying is really worth $480, or if I can get it done somewhere else for cheaper. I already owe him $75 for the analysis to determine the problem, and Google has given him rave reviews.
Just want to know what you guys think of this, and if I should go to another mechanic,or what he is saying is accurate, and fully worth $480/that is the usual charge for this repair.
so you know nothing about cars and decided an 02 audi was the best way to go?
>>14971246
>audi
>sub 500$
Is say you're getting off easy m8.
>>14971246

Seems about right
idiot here. how can diesel engines with the same displacement and compression ratios have different horsepower and torque?
3.0l mitsu diesel 200hp, 450nm of torque, 16:1 17:1 compression
3.0l vw diesel 240hp, 550nm of torque, same compression
3.0l jag diesel 250-270hp, 600nm of torque, same compression
Different shaped cylinders, different airflow rates, the list goes on. Theres more to an engine then displacement.
>>14971190
but at what cost other than price does this additional power come?
>>14971221
Fuel economy. Driving characteristics. Many different things.
Does anybody here like the Miata Italia kit? Seems like a pretty cool way to get a special snowflakemobile, even if you're putting $15k of bodywork into a $5k car.
I've been saving up for an M3 but I think I might do this instead. I have experience turbocharging miatas on a poverty tier budget so I could get some speed behind the looks too.
Terrible idea or no?
>>14970814
If that's really how much it costs it's totally not worth it.
But credit where credit is due, that front end looks nice. Something about the area around the front fenders where the door starts is irking me though. It looks tacky there.
>>14970814
Why not buy something that has >200hp out of the starting gates for far under the same price? Why do people on /o/ have such retarded boners over Miatas? I get collecting, but as an only vehicle it seems retarded to trust putting 4x the true value of the vehicle into something that will inevitably be less trustworthy than say, a nice Toyota Camry. Fuck, for 20 grand I can go down and get a used v8 challenger and work on upgrading it with future money from there.
>>14970814
I don't.
Does it even include the hardtop?

I'll start with pic related. 98 Boxster 5 speed, black with tan interior.
What is the best Porsche I can get for $27k or less?
>>14970922
Probably a cayman
>>14970928
I want a 911, my friend is buying my Toyobaru and I was debating between a Porsche or BMW Z4M. What is the best year Cayman I could get? Preferably not base model.
Why don't you faggots cum buckets over this car like you do the miata? It's literally the same car.
Wat.
Gallardo is for unwanted, failure sixth sons of Persian sheikhs. Richfag poorfag sports car.
What the fuck is going on in this board.
no more bills from the mechanics...
... why?
>>14969869
>cars are only combustion engines
>>14969869
Electrician bills are gonna suck. They're union.
What does /o/ think is the best road trip car for under $5k?
A smooth and quiet ride is extremely important, and I'd like to be able to fold the seats down to sleep in the back. Of course, reliability is extremely important too. wouldn't want the car to die in the middle of bumfucknowheresville.
I've been looking at getting pic related, it looks like a nice car altogether, and the AWD version seems capable.
If I'm on a tighter budget when time comes, I'd probably go for the 240 wagon instead, or an 850/inbetween volvo wagon.
How...

Early 2000s Buick Century
Cars are plentiful, well equipped, cheap and reliable
Parts are easy to find, and the car is fairly easy to work on
Comfy ride quality, plenty of space for you and passengers and a big trunk
Not cars that kids thrash, so not a problem
Good ones can be had from 2-4k easily
>>14969679
Thanks, I'll look into that!
How easy is it to sleep in? Could save money if, on road trips, I'm able to skip out on the hotels without a significant detriment to my sleep quality.

The 1997-2005 Century is a 4 door W-body sedan. If you consider one W-body car, You may as well look at them all.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_W_platform
As to my suggestion, I'll suggest the 1991-1996 Chevrolet Caprice and Buick Roadmaster station wagons.
No, they're not fuel efficient. The 4.3L and 5.7L V8s are god-tier from GM's second generation Chebby small block engine family, so they're reliable, so long as you take a few precautions first and remove the entire opti-spark...

Why are people so concerned about interest rates when financing a car?
Sure, you're paying more than the car's value, overall, but that low monthly payment is leaving you with plenty of money to spend, right?
Because you're paying more than the car is worth.
>>14969482
It's a big deal, If you have some shitty credit a high rate can easily end up costing you like 5 grand or more over the length of the loan to buy it.
Learn to tucking save up money and buy cash, you burger gobbling morons.

Sold the Beetle turbo S to get this sweet ass prius for the city because I care more about captain planet than the rest of you douches. Plus 50 mpg in a comfy four door. Who needs a turbo when I have EV kick in yo.
No one cares faggot
1990s honda called, they said you're a cuck for buying a prius that ruined the environment when you could have upcycled an old civic and got nearly 60mpg instead.
You did a shit job covering that license plate even though it just says "WOW"
Stupid cars for stupid people I guess.
Solar cars are cars right? I drive some of these!
You're gonna die of a heatstroke, bud.
Inside of those things get up to like 90F+
Some of my pictures collected from the American Solar Challenge
What do you nerds know about this thing? It looks nice, and I want something to replace my ancient Corolla. They're the same price as a Camry, and about the same price as a fully-loaded Fusion.
>>14969155
It's a shitty mk7 golf in sedan form for badgewhores.
would rather have the fully loaded fusion to be honest.
more features, cheaper to maintain, pretty bulletproof, bigger..
also isnt a common sweet sixteen gift for spoiled girls.
>>14969166
How is it shitty?
I've taken a look at the Golf as well as the Passat and the interior and ride are considerably more nice than on either of them.

I'm letting him keep the car in his name, so he has positive equity, while I pay insurance and a small part of his new car payment. I'm just being added to insurance.
What do you guys think?! The car gets signed over to me whenever we want, and it's not a concern that it won't be.
How would using that car as positive equity work? Will it work? Can he sell it to me immediately after he...

I would rather be out cash, as my current way of making money is through college scholarships.
I've already confirmed the car is equity.
I've already run through those scenarios.
>own a del sol & miata
>Contemplating turbo charging the del sol
Should i or should i not?
I feel like my del sol is better in the streets and the power is already there, i was thinking of getting maybe a universal turbo set up that would most likely fit both cars
so just incase i don't like it in my del sol i could put it in my miata
is this a good idea /o/ >
