So I have a 95 Mazda b2300, I plan to go on a road trip that will be around 3,500 miles. I take great care of it changing all sorts of parts and all fluids regularly. It's a 2.3 I4 Ford engine with around 90,000 miles maybe. What I want to know is do you guys think it will make it? Potentially through snow too, I have brand new wrangler radials on it and the front is 2 inches higher.

I realize the consensus here is that autopilot is shit and takes away the driving experience, but what about an autopilot mode only for the freeway where it just keeps you in your lane?
This is all I want. It still allows for a manual transmission and doesn't degrade the driving experience. I can't even count the number of times that I've spent many mind numbing hours on the freeway wishing I could be doing something else other than holding a steering wheel straight.
What does /o/ think?
>>15141649
I'm fine with autopilot for all of the normie drivers since they'd rather look at dick pics than concentrate on the fucking road. For the rest of us that actually enjoy driving? Don't need it and you can't retroactively install it. Just keep using shitboxes and we'll be fine.

cruise control which is radar adaptive
lane keeping monitor and assist
I think these were first available in the infiniti m45 an q45. enabled you to set the cruise control, radar will slow you down to a stop if necessary and get you started back to your set speed, if it's clear in front of you, and the lane keeping assist will allow you to let go of the wheel and take a nice nap.

Autonomous driving will be a great thing, since an insane amount of people don't WANT to drive (or at least parts of their trips, highways especially), and they tend to not be paying attention during those times.
There's also the large amount of morons on the road, and statistics show a worrying amount of accidents that are caused by stupid-ass mistakes.
Autonomous cars will have way, way less accidents...as long as they're made by competent companies.
I'm worried about autonomous...

Those riced out supra and other 2jz cars with one large exhaust at angle rather than the stock duals
Are they a bad idea?
If they are used with some tread left, then sure. I'm talking like 75% or more left

Is it feasible to get a quality vehicle for 5 to 6 grand?
I'm a dumb military welfare queen and was ridiculed by my team leader and other NCOs when I said that I don't want to finance because all I need is a basic Corolla or some shit to get to school and such.
They all insisted I finance a fucking Versa or some shit.
Thanks for reading my blog

Also be aware that the prices for anything fun will be inflated because you're near a military base.

You're right OP. What we need is more hipster vape-blowing millenials with fitted caps, golf shorts and a bank around directly linked to daddys 401k in the scene.

New to /o/ and hate asking advice on 4chan but kind of out of options.
I have a truck with 189000 miles on it and spent $460 on a programmer. I don't want to completely overhaul the engine but I'd like a little more performance out of it. Would doing this completely Fuck the engine? Or would it likely blow before I reach 200000?
I never 'redline' but sometimes get it up to 5000rpm (out of 7000). Would doing this with a tuned engine destroy my engine faster?

Look you have a gas engine, tunes (especially canned tunes) for gas engines really dont do much more than MAYBE add 10-15 HP if you set the engine to run 93 octane.
I dont know if you an tune your transmission but an automatic can be made to shift harder and faster for better acceleration.
I had a 2013 mustang and a 93 octane tune and trans tune had my 0-60 drop...

running any engine outside of its designed parameters while making more power is generally going to load to faster wear.
Of course the tunes are go for what? 10 hp? probably wont be an issue overall because its basically nothing.
When you start tuning turbos and make real power is where you run into reliability issues.
WITNESSED THREAD
did you do something awesome /o/ related and you were all by yourself ? get WITNESSED here and describe what you did and what happened and say WITNESS ME. I don't know shit about mechanic work but I pulled my engine 95% of the way just the driveshaft and a grounding strap was still attached. I've installed a dry and wet nitrous kit and dropped a second off of my 1/4 mile time and it lasted about 5k on the leanest nitrous/fuel proportion ever before blowing the engine after 5 back to back runs at an unusually empty Friday night at royal purple...

My ex girlfriend had a model T2 kombi. Trust me, old VWs are piece of shit dude. You don't want to haul that thing around. It's cool but you won't have the money to maintain it's never ending stream of failing parts.
Just buy a suburu forester or late 90's civic or something baka
if you like rustbuckets made by german post-WW2 kids buy it, if you want quality & go full ausfag buy a subie forester

I'm from Europe but I call it a Miata because it's easier to say.
We're American we don't "have" to do anything bitch

It says mx5 and Miata, who the fuck would call it an mx5 tho?
Should I buy this car?
Some absolute faggot has restored it to original instead of building a lowrider.
So I think I could take advantage of his faggot taste and have a clean base for a lowrider, no rust etc..
Would look good three wheeling down the street.

Make the wheels bigger and what car is that
Work on your perspective. Block out the car before filling in the details.
Getting the wheel size and spacing right is one of the hardest things if you're not great at drawing cars.
