I know this question may seem out of place here but it was intended for Yahoo Answers, it just isn't working right now. I was parked at a friend's house and a thunderstorm caught us offguard. The water rose up to about 75% of the tires, and when I could get to my car, water was pooled a bit in the area you set your feet in. How bad is that kind of flooding and what should I be worried about, and what actions should I take?
My car is a 2009 Cobalt, so it is manual. I'm not sure if that helps considering it might have less electrical components because of...

Well, my 2002 Ford Focus (automatic) got flooded to about the same level in a thunderstorm, and it smelled like shit until it dried, but otherwise suffered no negative effects whatsoever.

Anyone know a lot about vr4 3000gt's? I've been looking at them and they just seem like a cheap wrx killer. What are the pros and cons?

I own one. Kills my buddies GC8 STI. Kills my buddies charger, they're really quick cars. They handle well with coil overs. People say they're disgusting my heavy but they're just as heavy as the rest of the rice rockets of the time. They're cheap to buy but not as cheap to maintain. They can be reliable if you don't treat it like garbage on wheels.

they're stupidly quick. seriously one of the fastest cars you can buy for the price.
with 320 bhp stock and 315 Nm it's more than enough to compete with the much lighter RX-7 FD (especially since it's all wheel drive AND all wheel steer, pretty much negating the former's conering superiority, if a good driver is present)

I may need a new battery, /o/. Taking it to the parts shop tomorrow or the day after to check the voltage. The batt itself has been in the car for over 3 years and the winters are long and cold here so I'm pretty sure I just need to replace the batt.
Anyway what are some good brands/models? How much should I spend? Like I said before the winter is like 7-9 months of the year and can get very cold for about 4 of those months.

The Chrysler super-car was forced-canned by Daimler (chrysler's then owner) because i think it would've been a better super-car then what was coming out of Mercedes at the time for a cheaper price.
There were some other cars canceled by Daimler as again, it could've upstaged Mercedes.
As for the Cadillac Cien i don't know that car's story. i wish Cadillac even now would make some kind of super-car with that new twin-turbo V8 they are developing.

So this is about a piece of equipment, but I figured /o/ was the best place for a quick answer.
I put my mini excavator on the corner two weeks ago and discovered a leak over the weekend. I was taking it to bobcat around the time a mexican dude was calling about it.
I told him it had a leak and I was taking it to get it fixed, call me back. Well he called me back and wanted to buy it, cash, as-is.
Now I can't figure out why someone would buy a machine without even hearing it run with a know leak of unknown origin, and unknown cost and difficulty to fix.
I came off my price more than it would probably cost to fix, but with these machines you never know.
So my question is this- how likely is it this guy sabotaged it, loosened a fitting so it would leak and he could get a hell of a deal?
I've got cash on the table tomorrow if I go through with it, but I worry I'd regret forever wondering what the leak actually was. Plus I think it's a total dick move to sell things with problems, albeit this is all disclosed on my end.
What do /o/? Take less cash now and avoid and expensive repair or be paranoid about it and get it checked and fixed, possibly (probably) never recovering the repair cost unless it was just a loose fitting?

A new concept from Volvo Trucks is said use 30 percent less fuel compared to typical long-haul trucks. The improved aerodynamic design includes the use of cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, optimized chassis side-skirts covering the rear wheels and improved air flow for the engine's cooling system. , newly-developed tires with lower rolling resistance are used, the trailer weight has been reduced by 2 tonnes (2.2 tons) and improvements have been made to the truck's drivetrain. The truck is powered by a Volvo D13 Euro 6 engine.
That sounds impressive if it's true.
