I asked on /DIY/ but they're being a bunch of summer fags. I'm building the 1989 batmobile and short of throwing an engine from another car into it i'd like to know what my alternatives are for making it electric. Like if any of you have any reccomendations

Here's a recommendation nerd, kill yourself
Ask /cgl/
They'll be able to make an engine out of pvc pipe and spray paint
Hey guys, I made a thread similar to this one, but I forgot about it. Anyway, my friend is selling a 2005 ford mustang that he bought for 2500 USD, it's in fair condition. I've been interested in buying it, but i'm kind of new to cars and car buying. It has a V6 engine in it, and it has 171,000 miles on it(which is why i'm cautious about buying it). My question is, is it worth getting, if so, how much and what should I do with it? We're planning on having a mechanic look at it in the future, but I want to ask you guys.
People here will give you shit for a V6 Mustang, but if you can score a running car for $2500 I don't see why not
Get it checked out obviously
here's your thread anon

He could get a v8 mustang for that much if he goes back a generation or two
Is there a definitive list of shit you should do to an old car to restore it and get it running as smooth as possible?
I'm pretty newfag with cars, only ever done minor repairs like changing a radiator, starter motor, stuff like that. I have a pretty good car which is starting to shit itself, I'd like to get a cheap little runabout so I can work on this one and get it in pristine condition again, is that going to be too much of an undertaking for someone with little mechanical experience?

Dear /o/,
I'm 20 and a friend of mine recently totaled his car worth about 10k. Now he's got it in his head that it's a good idea to take a loan out for an 06 porsche cayman for 28k. How can I convince him hes setting himself up for financial ruin? Why do people insist on living above their means and going deep in debt? His auto and student loans are gonna be insane.
Anyone else got some stories or advice on car loans and debt?

>setting himself up for financial ruin?
Not if he can convincingly fake autism.
>>15182948

Ive tried to help people like that too, but most are too hardheaded to listen. Now i just make fun of them.
What fuel type do you guys use & prefer, and why?
Going to transition to a diesel pickup quite soon, after having driven over three years in my petrol Mercedes... really going to miss petrol, its easiness to work on and how quick the engine warms up, although I know that the diesel will offer me better fuel economy and torque, as well as being cheaper per litre
Gasoline because I'm american and it's superior in every way.
>>15182701
You live in a state where diesel is more expensive than gas, right?
>>15182694
How much extra are you paying for the diesel option?
What is the appeal of these cars? honestly...

I'm so sick of these pieces of road cancer. No insurance required, no tag required, and no registration required.
They impede the flown of traffic and are an accident waiting to happen considering how inexperienced most riders are.
This faggot jumped a curb and has been riding on the sidewalk to avoid red lights. Joggers and dog walkers have been having to stop and wait for him to pass doing 30mph on a god damn sidewalk

Yes I'm collecting all your data and recording your stories in our criminal data collection servers. You're all busted now!
I was once speeding, when I was in germany when a cop pulled me over. I obliged and when we both got out of our cars to talk, he gave me a dirty look and then I knocked him out with a fist to the face. I then drove as fast as I could back to poland.

I like diesel in CA because it's cheaper.
But, for anything other than economy and utility it's pretty shit.
>>15181269
but the cost of a new diesel car is way higher than a gas car and the maintenance is also more expensive
If you're just sitting in your car, with the engine off, do you have your seatbelt on or off?
What's with the stupid question?
Am I about to drive or not?
>>15181178
No. There's really no point to seatbelts if the cars not moving or driving in traffic.
>>15181178
Are you drunk in this scenario or nah
