Has anybody bought a car through Car Gurus?
I'm from Costa Rica and set on importing a Camaro. I'll probably get fucked in the ass with taxes and shit when it comes here but I just know that it is the car I want to drive err day
Car Gurus doesn't sell cars. It's a search engine for finding cars that are for sale.
>>15210896
Don't buy the v6 either
>>15210926
y tho?
Would it be ok to wire on of these up in place of a 10amp fuse that keeps blowing in my car until I can trace where the fault is? The fuse is for my turn signals if that helps.
Just put a nice thick jumper wire in. Once it starts glowing red hot, that means it's working great and that you can start using your turn signals.
>>15210791
You could replace it with a paperclip, if you don't mind fire.
>>15210791
is it a breaker?
if so yes. lots of race cars use breakers instead of fuses.
I just sold my impreza 2.5i. I'm looking for something bigger like a SUV and can tow a small trailer.
I fucking don't know what to buy. I was looking at all those generic suv like escape, crv, rogue they look all the same. CX-3 and RVR look descent.
Max 20 000$ looking used
>>15210671
Why the fuck would you do that? Your hatchback has the same amount of room as these shitty crossovers, and more than the CX-3 and HR-V?
Should've put a hitch on your Impreza, faggot.
>>15210694
It was a sedan. Trunk on sedan is small as fuck.
Also i had 250 000 km on it and rust was getting all around. Time to change

The nicest Mazda 6 wagon you can find. 03-07
My 87' Fox Body has a problem where the starter hangs up and wont shut off even when i turn the key to the off position. My local auto repair shop replaced the following: Starter motor , celluloid , ignition coil, and the ignition switch. The problem came back and is damaging the celluloid rapidly. Will i need a new flywheel from all the times it has fought the starter?
Any ideas guys?
>>15210582
>celluloid
Think you meant SOLENOID...
Anyway, did they replace the starter cable? Make sure all the wires are isolated at the SOLENOID and aren't bridging contact.
Forgot, also buy a good quality solenoid... shitty ones from Autozone or the like can cause problems like this out of the box.
>>15210582
OK, first what starter doe it have. The original style pole-shoe starter or the later permanent magnet/gear reduction style as an update. The reason I ask that is the later style if not wired correctly can cause a feedback loop that keeps the solenoid engaged.
Other than that, the cheap solenoids commonly found at parts stores will also allow ground loops to set up and keep the solenoid engaged. It's usually best to use a Motorcraft solenoid and if that's not possible then make sure the solenoid...

I have a shitty oldsmobile automatic. Every time I got from 1st to second it jumps, like literally slams forward. It stalled today too.
Why is my car being fucking gay? Is it my tranny?
>>15210227
Yes.
Sounds like its starting to go out.
Change the fluid and MAYBE it wont die as quick
Do you think it's just low on fluid?
Recently I got my windows tinted and got 35% (truly 32%) on the windshield, 5 over 35 on the sides, and 5 over factory 18 all around the rear. However, I feel like the windshield isn't dark even at night in the rain. I was thinking to either peel it and do 25% on the windshield or just drop 70% over it as is. Wondering if anyone had experience with a windshield around that dark.
>>15210217
illegal much
>>15210226
Cops in my area don't really care
So no one on /o/ has a tinted windshield?
I'm considering buying one used but I have no experience with Mazda. What are their build qualities like? Is this a decent car? I heard they rust easily, is this right?
More info:
- Going to use it as my daily drive to work, friends places, occasional road trips
- Frequent suburb driving & I have to drive through a metropolitan area a few times a month
- Need space for hauling storage bins and small furnishings, sometimes camping gear
- Automatic casual-fag
- Don't care or like car "infotainment" systems (some 2014 models don't...

Excellent
>Is this a decent car?
Absolutly. I have a 1st gen 2.3L
>I heard they rust easily
Early first gen. Although mine is rust free. After that there is no issue.

What's your current car?

>inb4 ford shills pushing their terrible cars.
Why is there a negative connotation with buying cars that have rust? even if its a little bit of rust.
Like me personally being a poorfag/wagecuck/student I dont give a rats ass about a car that has rust as I dont intend on keeping it for the rest of my life. As long as the doesnt fuck up the car mechanically im good.
>>15209988
Because not everyone is a poorfag that plans on letting their car fall apart under them?
Good thread.
Having heavy rust in California is a bad thing since surface rust is the most of what we deal with.

Because people are lazy and stupid
