Not lpg, but I'm a salesman. I currently sell chevy, but I'm considering going to a Ford dealership. Anyone here sell for Ford? What does /o/ think?

Sup /o/,
Looking to buy an M3 in the next year or so and I'm currently having the debate of which would be better, an E36 or E46? E30 is out of the question, but if 996 911s keep falling that might be a possibility as well.
What would you prefer and why?
If you can afford it, E46. The E36 is a more fun car to drive at lower speeds, but mostly due to its lower limits, better midrange, and better steering feel. The E46 makes most of its power at high rpms and it's a way faster car all around so you really gotta drive like a fucktard to enjoy it.
They both have bad structural defects (subframe tears on 46, rear strut tower rot/tearing on E36), and the simpler, more reliable S52 is offset by being put into a older body made during a particular malaise era of BMW where they chose to put the cheapest plastic in places...

Thanks for the feedback, I've been leaning towards the E46 all along, but in my searches I keep seeing the E36 pop up and they don't look bad at all (but I always kind of thought it was a bit lesser of a car).
>>15275364
It's definitely a lower performance car. It's still relevant in 2016 being as quick as many 10 year old sports cars and new sport compacts despite being 20 years old. But the E46 is still better.
Figure $10k for a nice E36 give or take $2k. The E36s are appreciating just because they're so old, nice ones are hard to find.
$16k for a nice E46 give or take $4k. There's more of them out there, but avoid SMG cars unless you can deal with changing a $2000 pump.
I fucked up /o/
Was on my last month of good behaviour and got caught driving without a seatbelt. If I lose my license I lose my job and have to move back in with parents.
I need to somehow delay the demerit points for another week until I can get off good behaviour what should I do?
Maybe you should've worn your seat belt you fucking dumbass. How is this shit not a reflex at this point?

Hello summer
Interested in getting a Wrangler Unlimited. Have always liked the idea of a soft top but am wondering how practical they are for everyday use.
>do they hold up well over time?
>are they a pain in the ass?
>will I freeze my balls off in winter?
>any other issues I haven't thought of?
Currently an FJ Cruiser owner and I've had it for 7 years. They aren't being made anymore so am considering the switch to Jeep.
Soft top is shit. They leak in the rain, rip easily, fade very fast, and also get lots of wind noise. With no insulation if you live somewhere that actually has winter you'll need to keep the heat cranked all the time
They're great except in the winter. With soft tops you definitely get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap ass Pavement Ends top you will experience everything the poster above me said.
Buy a premium top. You want sail cloth and pressed windows. I recommend besttop. Make sure you apply the dressing, and keep the zippers lubed with graphite powder. Good luck.

That top is right from The factory. Mother bought the jeep last year new with both soft and hard tops and the soft is nothing but garbage. Hardtop is perfectly fine tho aside from some annoying vibrations
Hello everyone, I'm tackled with helping my mother get a new car, and I figured I'd ask here for general advice before going to dealerships and trying stuff with her.
The requirements are: new, petrol 1.3-.14L engine, 4 doors, ~4m length, decent mpg for mostly city driving.
What does /o/ suggest? Pls help

But the Mustang gets BTFO by the Ecotec Turbo Chevy Camaro.
Is AWD the most unbelievably based drivetrain in existence?
>mad grip in bad weather and bad terrain
>able to get on the power sooner on the exit to a corner
>sweet four wheel drifts with no steering correction required, just stamp on the accelerator and point car to exit of corner
>able to get more power to the road in high powered cars
>able to remove driveshafts to become FWD or RWD at owners willComment too long. Click here to view the full text.

That's seems way overpriced for an EP3
9200 what? $,€, dildos? Anyway no, that's overpriced as shit wherever you live.
Buy a honda, not an ep3
How long does it generally take for someone with no driving experience to learn to drive a car with a manual transmission?
Do you think someone with very bad self discipline and no previous driving experience could learn in 3 months?
3 months is overkill young underage b&.
My first car was a stickshift. I learned in a week. Hardest thing is going from a stop on a hill when you're learning. Also traffic sucks.
>>15274295
10 hours
About a day to get used to changing gears and controlling the clutch, and maybe three months to a year to some what master the clutch in all kinds of scenarios.

Why do Europeons always instantly jump to insinuating any American poster has a tiny dick if they drive a truck or fast car?

also I would like to add, most of the time the bait is pointed at americans because they make almost half of the boeard, it doesn't seem smart to set a bait aimed at peruvians or nepalese people
nothing personnel kid, its just easier that way
Imagine how awesome it would be if honda hooked up with chevrolet teamed up with chevrolet to make vtec LS engines.
Forgive me if i'm not onto this but Isn't that basically what the LT5 was? fairly high-revving for its time and displacement reliable V8 that i heard was kinda peaky and made quite a bit of its power at the higher RPMs.
Lingenfelter has also made high-revving cammed LS and whatnot. i don't remember where i found the video.
Also feel like this thread is going to be nothing but shitposting come-morning and i'm probably jinxing it too. guess we'll see.
>>15273577
But anon, Chevrolet's VLC is functionally identical to Honda's VTEC. Two cam lift profiles, and the ECU can switch between them using oil pressure.
>>15273768
The LT5 was completely different from the LT-generation small blocks. It featured DOHC, making it quite heavy, andexcept for the bore spacing, it shared nothing wth the other LT's.
Chevrolet made the old DZ302, which aftermarket builders like Lingenfelter have replicated. Used...

Show me a video of how vlc works..
I doubt it is efficient as vtec.
