Just the good stuff. Screen grabs, shoops, etc.
Something besides Amerifats vs Yuropoors
Anyone remember the backstory?
Hey /o/
It takes me a while to get home so I would like to do some cooking inside of my car. Pic is related.
I will have a little grill on my passenger seat, something powered by some portable means of energy, maybe a small propane tank.
Then I will have a small cooler underneath filled with food that I can cook.
I would be cooking on the freeway on the way home from work so that when I get home I can just serve the food on my plate and then eat it.
The car is a shitty drawing, but in real life it is a crown victoria that I am driving.
So does anyone else cook on the road? I will mainly be cooking steak or chicken, so I will be driving with all of the windows down.
I dont care about the smell ruining the value of the car because I will use this car until I die.
Anyone here cook in there car on the way home to save some time?
>tfw you pour all your money into your car and she still has so many problems
>tfw she still idles rough as fuck after all your work and you are literally at wits end
Car feels?
I had those same feels with my shitty NA Miata. Then I scrapped it and bought a brand new 2015 Fiesta. Waaaaaaaay better.

So, /o/.
What's the best relatively-affordable, sporty-looking, good-handling lightweight four-cylinder car of the last 5 or so years that isn't the Toyota GT86?

I finally saved up to buy a new car and not used .
My question is what kind of car should I avoid to not get called a girly car . What cars do you consider girly ?
I was thinking of getting a cooper ( pic related ) . I want girls to come home with me and have sex with me . Please /o/ I need your expertise .
News flash cars don't pull pussy like you think.
>>13822461
This. Certainly not small hatchbacks like a fucking Mini Cooper, unless you're very specifically trying to get some sort of non-threatening metrosexual schtick going on, and I've only ever known one guy who's ben able to get results from that game.
Buy the car you like, not the one you think other people are going to like.
If you're gonna get a Mini, make it a convertible JCW, or at least an S.
I understand that FWD cars are capable in oversteering, if you intentionally induce it...
But since when has it been possible to oversteer a fucking Honda Accord, just by steering a little harder than usual? These cars are known to understeer.
>>13822383
By putting a shitload of weight in the trunk?
>>13822383
You throw it into the corner, going too fast. Catching it, well, that's another matter.

If you want more details, this happened during a little street race with a friend.
We both deliver pizzas and we happened to leave about the same time, to go to the same area.
We have both heard about each other being skilled drivers from our other friends, but we never seen each other drive.
The route takes us through a winding road and we both knew what was about to happen once we got onto the road.
I drive the 1990 Accord in the OP and my friend drives a Subaru Baja; I understand how...

looks like yet another typical burgerbarge from back in the day, probably drives shitty and makes a lot of noise but comfortable to sit in and with a big ridiculous engine that pulls like a draught horse.
Faster than usual luxury cars, slower than usual muscle cars.
So I've just calculated a ballpark cost for my first major project. Its gonna cost me $30,000 - $35,000 + "labour", so all up will probably be $45,000 - $50,000(au).
Basically im going to get an interior swap, paintjob, engine + tranny swap, and a s/c @ 8psi. (Plus basics like fuel lines, brakes & suspension, etc).
The car is a BA Falcon wagon.
Engine will be a V8 that will bolt on
Tranny will be 5 speed manual
Interior will be pic
S/c will put 450kW (600hp) at the flywheel.
Will i have the fastest wagon on /o/?
>>13821996
But it will still be slow.
>>13822012
It will be faster than it is at the moment.
>Will i have the fastest wagon on /o/?
Maybe, you'll still have the slowest brain though.
Sup /o/
With Canadian winter literally pissing over my shoulder right now, my car is having trouble cranking in the morning.
Basically, the headlights go dim with each crank, and it cranks VERY slowly--but it never fails to turn over. This only happens when the car has cooled down--it hasn't become very cold at all yet, and that's what worries me. I've had difficulty with slow cranking when it was 10C (50F) out. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's coincidental that it's happening now, but I know it'll only get worse.
Each crank...

Pic is where the acid started leaking from when I stuck a knife in it. you can also see the indicator that states it is "ok".
Once the car is warmed up, it fires up immediately.

Unless I am being retarded then the small covers marked in red in this photo can be pried off with a thin screwdriver or similar
Go to a battery place and have them do a load test on the battery. See if they will let you purchase a battery and return it if the problem keeps up after the cranking. If you have time, maybe keep the car there for a while to completely cool down, and then try starting it with a newer battery.

You might check this out as well, although you didn't mention which XJ-6 you have. I'm kinda leaning towards not a battery issue if it starts when warm, if it's testing ok, although a load test...

Are there any good cheap American cars for touge runs?
Mainly looking for something with a fair bit of power and agile cornering.

thoughts on the Pontiac Grand Prix?

The FWD ones have a great chassis and the engines are bulletproof... but the automatic transmissions are total trash

>>13821882
Pretty much this. Total slushboxes. My sister's ex used to have a Baretta that I hooned in while I waited for parts, that shit was fun.
This seems like the right place to ask this.
My girlfriend is Chinese, and her family is rich as fuck. When she came to America to pursue her PhD she bought a tan beater 2006 Camry because she's also frugal. Now, her being Chinese, you can imagine the state of the car two years later. I literally just did it's first oil change a month ago because she didn't know that you needed to change it.
Anyway, the thing is tough but somewhat beat to hell. So today in the parking lot of her apartment complex, she had a note on her windshield. Someone in a newer...

they are full of shit and bluffing. unless they have something more than "the colors match", they have no case
rest easy
With nothing actually matching why even care? Ignore the fuck out of them, they've got no case
>>13821825
Just get both insurance companies involved. If necessary, they'll do the testing of the paint swapped, and then they'll peg the costs on the idiot who brought the case up. (her)
I've had this question since years ago and have been wanting to ask you guys for the longest time but I decided to finally go through with it.
Can driving over a wet lane on a highway increase the life of your tires?
I hope to get at least some serious answers after the expected ensuing flaming/trolling from people who will immediately dismiss it as incredibly stupid.
>>13821597
>Can driving over a wet lane on a highway increase the life of your tires?
What exactly do you mean by this?
The idea comes after watching an F1 race years ago where a team had changed into rain tires and the rain didn't get to the track, so the driver was advised to drive over whatever patch of the track was wet from the little rain/mist that got over a little part of the track, to keep the tires cool and from coming apart.
>>13821597
I mean F1 drivers will roll through water to keep the wet tires cool so they don't degrade as fast.
I doubt it will make any difference on road tires.
Can you have fun in a Indie rear suspension ?

those brakepads seem fun to change
