That's it, it's over.
so how long until they add the hilux and landcruiser to the range and completely dominate the american market
So what all do you suggest for detailing and restoring some of the looks of the engine bay?
My valve cover paint is pealing so I'm going to strip it and prime and paint it(flat white), and plan on removing my heat shield and heat plating undernearth and doing a wrap and reflective on the oil pan.
Any other little details you all would suggest? I have no interest in painting any of the plastic, it will stay black, I'll clean it up a bit but that's it.
Possibly new hoses, which is both look and reliability.

Is it a good engine?
>>13830006
yeah, they're mazda engines.
Any word on the Ohio-built engines versus the Valencia, Spain-built engines?

Will I die if I put a set of $9 brakes on my car?

>brake best premium quality
yeah why not
Imagine being a fucking american and actually getting the cheapest brakes because you don't actually care about your car and are able to spend money elsewhere
>>13829942
That's what I'm saying. I was gonna go to the dealership to get a set of OEM brakes but this is premium quality.
There is so much wrong with this car. Are there any redeemable qualities?
>inb4 someone posts that bullsit blog
GA70s are horrendously slow
Twin Turbo GZ70s are slightly less slow
MA70s are lol headgasket but that's manageable, 7Ms are decent engines
JZA70 is best
They're good cars. They just suffer from being beaten on by fuck head teenagers the last 20 odd years
>>13829877
looks feirce as fuck cruises pretty good and is pretty damn comfy
not to forget
>muh popups
>>13829877
MUCH nicer than its successor, IMO.
Has all the good things: Double wishbone front and back, I6 motor that can handle hellish pressures and give insane amounts of power, pop up lights.
As bad points the NA version is not worth it, and all of them weight way too much to be a serious sports car, more of a GT.

Harley a good.
/o/ I am not a car savvy guy. My cousin's car has been making a SCRUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNCHHHH noise when she brakes and I'm assuming it's either the brake pads or brake fluid but I honestly don't know. Is it possible to get a mechanic to do a free quote or do they not do that?
Its the pads, they're worn so much they're grinding the rotor.
Some do free quotes if it's a simple problem to see.
If I were home I could give you a guide on how to check brake pad life.
It's most likely either
A) a stone stuck in the calliper
B) brake pad wear indicators.
>>13829681
They're not expensive to fix, are they? I have heard quite a bit of mechanics fucking people over on otherwise cheap processes.

What's up /o/!
I was given a non running Yamaha it200 today for free. I didn't have much time to mess with it but I'm new to bikes and 2 strokes so it's gonna be fun. So if anyone has advice/knowledge help is very appreciated.
The motor turns, I ran the kickstart. The shifter works. The throttle cable works, clutch cable, both brake cables work too. So far I've pulled the tank and drained it(getting new fuel/oil tomorrow), and I pulled the spark plug. The spark plug was pure black, so I cleaned it, plugged it in and set it on top of the cylinder...

Why do Civics have a ricerboi 2fast2furious image around it, but Corollas don't other than the AE86? They're both FWD shitbox commuters at this point but new Civics are still riced while Corollas aren't

Because they're faster, cheaper, more reliable, and easier to take apart.
What do you guys think of the Gen 4 Honda prelude?
not as pretty as the other body style
>>13829199
Had a 92 si in college. Fun, mildly quick (the year before the introduced vtec for it, later were better), tranny as geared for acceleration, not freeway (3k rpm at 60mph), and a huge cop magnet.
Favorite thing for me to do in mine was hooping cloverleaf on ramps. I could enter them at around 65mph with almost no loss of traction (had nice tires at the time...can't remember what they were now).
All in all not bad, but I much prefer my 07 Accord v6 6mt though, even if it has more body roll and sits higher.
Best 'lude, anyone who tells you otherwise is a jealous faggot. Just look at the awesome interior.

I have non critical things that could use doing but haven't bought the parts yet.
I re-watched all of the Evil Dead movies this halloween, and with this new show out, my interest in the Delta 88. I've got the money, and I'd really like to make this a daily driver. Do any of you know anything about them, or own them?

Wikipedia on the Delta 88 in case someone else wants to know/bump
For 1973, wider and lower split waterfall grilles flanked a new federally mandated 5 mph (8.0 km/h) front bumper on all Delta 88 models and larger one-piece rounded rectangular taillights replaced the four-segmented lights of 1972. Engine offerings included a standard 350 Rocket V8 with two-barrel carburetor (150 net horsepower) or optional 455 Rocket V8 with four-barrel carburetion and 215 hp (160 kW) with single exhaust or 250 hp (186 kW)...

Okay, I'm stuck between two bikes.
So after my last bike got stolen, I got pissed, sold all my gear, and then took a job overseas. I'm back home now and have a hefty bonus coming my way and I'm looking at getting another bike.
I found two bikes on CL in my price range in pretty good condition. One guy has an 02 ZX9r. Plastics are cracked on one side from a previous owner dropping it. Has a full muzzy, new chain and sprockets (+2/-1), and okay tires. 35k miles. $2000
Other bike is a 94 FZR1000. One owner bike and meticulously maintained....

probably the 02 because efi
>>13829092
Buy a new bike because previous owner bullshit is universally shitty no matter what.
It's not like it's an investment.
>>13829167
Except it's equally retarded to buy a new bike because it loses value the moment you take it off the lot.
I'm mechanically savvy and have no problem working on my own bike.
