Might be awesome for diabetics instead of having to carry the needle, the spring loaded thing and the meter, you got an all in one device there. Maybe they can also do it for coumadin patients too instead of having a blood test every month they get a meter that tells them their PTT?

You would still have to empty/clean it out since it physically takes your blood. So unless that problem is solved it will probably be limited to some specialist medical wearable equipment.

6 days late but diabetics already have all in one insulin givers. Its a little pump they can clip onto clothes with a needle that's always in them.

He's talking about a glucometer, the device that reads a person's blood glucose level. Insulin Pumps just pump insulin, they don't completely replace the pancreas. There are continuous glucose monitors, which are basically an artificial vein attached to a glucometer, though they're not exactly very reliable for the first month or so, which can be kind of dangerous.
