And behind the camera, one of the witnesses – a Muslim east Londoner – shouts loudly at the knifeman: ‘You ain’t no Muslim bruv! You ain’t no Muslim!’
Last night a man with a machete attacked people in Leytonstone station while shouting ‘this is for Syria’.
The stabbing left three people injured – one of them in a serious condition – and is now being treated as a terrorist incident.
It wasn’t long before horrific photos and video footage streamed onto social media from the east London tube station.
But amid all the fear, one of the videos basically summed up exactly why we love London.

That's cute. But how will it address the cultural and economic changes Britain will go through? Right now, Muslims are a growing minority.

Please, lets make Muslims as big and as equal to Christians so they are no longer discriminated against.

>Guy goes on a stabbing spree
>Let's report on his cultural identity
>Let's applaud a passerby for disapproving of a literal killing spree
>Let's reduce the crime to the pre-planned Muslim vs not-Muslim angle
>Let's see if we can class the crime as the spooky scary T-word so we can sell more copies of our free fucking newspaper
I despair for the media. I really do. I assume it must always have been this exploitative, cheap, and misleading, but at least in the past you could fall for it. It's like the media has forgotten how to manipulate people's emotions effectively, so they just make a bunch of cack-handed obvious attempts which are so insultingly transparent as to offend anyone with half a brain, and then just act like nobody will ever notice. It's like they noticed that people started getting their news for free from shitty uneducated blogs written by retards, and instead of focusing their journalistic integrity on providing a better service, or providing good news for free, they just switched to paid-for shitty uneducated news written by retards because they assumed that was what we wanted.

Such misguided cynics

It's not the media being maliciously manipulative; it's the social-cultural zeitgeist of self preservation. Fear of violence and others' reaction to violence is rooted in our lizard brains; it's no different in instantaneous social media 'flash viruses'. The users spread the hashtags and the media reports on it. Their sentiments are diverse and they're organic. People claiming agency over this or ascribing it to others are fools. The USS Maine was sunk by a boiler fire, not an inside job.

I don't understand. Why are they saying the guy isn't Muslim when he clearly is? I guess I understand the desire of so called moderate Muslims to disassociate themselves from the not so tiny minority of extremists, but it's simply dishonest of them to play the no true Scotsman fallacy when violent jihad is in fact a core component of Islam. This hashtag doesn't make me respect Muslims anymore. It just makes me think of them as lying cowards.

Fucking own your garbage religion and the atrocities it is responsible for. Own it or disavow it.

What he's saying is "I am a Muslim, as are many many brits and you have waived all right to be one of us." He is denouncing the attacker's faith, not in a 'no true scotsman' way, but as a reminder to him and other muslims that random, unprovoked violence is unacceptable in the faith.

listen Mohammed, nothing there is off-topic, NOTHING.
Nothing is spam.
I haven' posted this anywhere else.
If someone else has, good for them, these are merely facts.
Loads and loads of murders commited by men who say they are murdering in the name of Islam.
It's NOT an opinion.
It's fact.
Unless this is all wrong, in which case I apologise to you and your brethren.
Got it from Wikipedia, so if you have a problem with the info take it up with wikipedia, or your imam.
My best friend is a Muslim, so fuck you for saying posting factual information is spreading hate.

Thats not ad hom. It would be ad hom if he used that as the reason or rather argument that the Mohammed was wrong. But he just "insulted" him and after that stated his argument.

Well, generally speaking Muslims not speaking out against the actions of terrorists has been a proper issue for a while now.

But its clearly not a seperate thing either.

>>6784
>All were done in the name of Islam, bruv:
I recently talked to a Christian and he told me that no Christian has ever murdered somebody so far and his reasoning was quite simple:
Murder is against the Christian faith. Anyone who chooses to murder somebody is evidently not following the faith. (I disagreed with him)
It would be wrong to equate Christianity to Islam because while the Christian culture has made tremendous developments in the past few hundred years, Islamic culture has (in places) turned to shit. But for Muslims that live as Muslims with modern values, I think such an equation is possible. If murder is unacceptable to a modern-values Christian, then it can also be considered unacceptable to a modern-values Muslim.
Whether or not this is a No True Scotsman depends on whether or not you accept the rejection of murder to be a necessary part of the modern-values religion.
I disagree because I see no central authority figure that could dictate this. Sure, there's a pope. But all you need to pick up a religion is basically just listen to your parents or read a few bits from some old and confusing book. The pope has no power over you that you don't grant him.
>>
>>6813

It does not work with christianity because we all sin. Everyone sins daily, and you can go to church to rid yourself of those sins. Even if you killed someone you stay christian, but a sinner one.

So at best you could say that those muslims are dickheads and not following the faith as you perceive it.

Apparently there's some doctrinal wiggle room on this. The Quran never specifically spells it out. It's one of those things that are up to the adherent to decide.

Now, people without any abrahamic faith are always OK to kill. In fact, you are exhorted to kill them wherever you find them. Hindus, Shintoists, and Buddhists are fair game.

Except that in Islam, unlike modern Christianity the traditionalists are the majority, not just some fringe group. If they were really embarrassed (and they should be horrified at the actions that Islam is used to justify, not merely embarrassed) they would disassociate themselves from the religion entirely.

Maybe they should do something about it, instead of holding a rally to remember the victims of American gun violence. Just a thought.

Terrorism attacks are on topic about a thread about terror attacks.

Go fuck your sheep, achmed

How many Muslims do you know?

Really all those rules are for Jews. No Christian is expected to follow those rules according to the bible because Jesus said you didn't have to any more, so that's a terrible analogy. The Koran is literally just the bible with some OCs so he probably says it somewhere in there too

>You Ain't No Muslim Bruv
Shitskins, I swear.
>why we love London
I'd say I feel sorry for Brits, but they welcome these people with an open anus.

That is obviously what the man meant, but what anon is saying is that the man is wrong. Unprovoked violence is almost certainly acceptable in the faith, unless you consider being an infidel to be provocation.

>bible says that you aren't allowed to be homo
>fundamentalist says that being a homo is wrong
>moderate realizes that being homo is actually fine and says that the fundamentalist ain't one of us, bruv because muh peace muh love muh jesus
Breaking away from your religion's retarded more retarded tenets is great, but that makes you less of an adherent to the faith, not more. To say otherwise is some bizarre doublethink bullshit cobbled together for the sake of convincing yourself that you aren't acting against your faith.

There's more to a religion than just the holy scripture.
It's why Christianity has made such tremendous progress in the past few hundred years and now even has a pope that supports homosexuals.
It's also why the Islam has regressed so much lately. At this point it's roughly on Christian medieval level.

>why we love London.
Because in times of crisis, they wait for the police to stop terrorists from doing whatever they want at the expense of lives and safety of others.
In those trying times, they shout at the terrorist.

We LOVE London!

Let's ask Lee Rigby if he loves London.

this guy is correct

Holy scripture literally defines the faith. You can make changes all you like, but eventually you reach a point where you're worshiping a completely different faith.

>but eventually you reach a point where you're worshiping a completely different faith.
That's not a bad thing.
Modern bicycles are completely different from the original ones, and they are great.

I never said it was a bad thing, anon. Read the rest of the conversation.

But reading is for nerds!

Wait, so men can "identify" as women and be considered women, but the Islamic state and pakis and other brown people can't identify as moslem and be considered moslem? Seems inconsistent, will a leftist faggot here explain that one to me?

>unprovoked violence is unacceptable in the faith

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Quran/023-violence.htm

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (8:15) - "O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey's end."

Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

Among others.

lol the mental gymnastics that liberals will go through are hysterical. They would literally apologize while a moslem raped their daughter and wife. You people are fucking weaklings, you should fly out to Syria and tell ISIS all about how they are misinterpreting Islam.

that's not hate anon, just a statement of facts

>I think there's already a chan to push for your ideological, religious and political agenda
If you're talking about wheelchair chan then guess what? They got a leftist /pol/ while we don't.
You are the one who should be going over there, because there isn't a leftist /pol/ here.
