It is a pretty big deal. Everyone thought the government doesn't have the balls to hang the dude (since religious lot holds a lot of the vote bank). People are divided and nobody voices their opinion about the matter publicly to unfamiliar people.

Pakistan has some of the most secure nuke systems in the world. There's a launch system and a detonation system so even if the nukes become captured in an unrealistic scenario like that then Taliban still wouldn't be able to do shit.
