1. Bethesda's argument that Notch couldn't call his game "Scrolls", for the life of me I can't remember the outcome of that case, and...
2. Stanley Kubrick's trademark of the word "Odyssey" preventing a luxury watch that came out around the same time from using the name. The watch was then marketed under a misspelling, "Odyssee" IIRC
You can literally trademark any word if you have the clout and money to convince a copyright hearing. How you choose/intend to exercise that copyright is the subject of argument for ir against you, and the Fine Bros have chosen to reveal their motivation on the matter to be controlling and greedy (unfortunately pereptuating the jewish stereotype).
