>A homeless man, after losing his iPhone and his mind, carved up his East Harlem shelter roommate — leaving the nearly decapitated corpse on the floor as he fled, cops said.

>The mutilated victim was discovered shortly before midnight Wednesday inside the Boulevard Homeless Shelter, with his throat slit and his head almost severed in the swift and savage assault.

>The killer “cut him so quick, he didn’t have time to speak or ask for help,” said fellow shelter resident Kenneth Bricks, 52, who was only awakened by a security guard’s screams after the body was found.

>A citywide manhunt was underway Thursday for Anthony White, 21, who started making random death threats about a week ago after a smartphone loaded with his favorite music was supposedly stolen, according to Bricks.

>“That phone was like his girlfriend,” Bricks said. “He didn’t think the old man stole his phone, I don’t think. But he was lashing out. The kid had problems.”

>The victim was identified as Deven Black, 62, an ex-city schoolteacher and librarian with a troubled history. Black, plagued by financial woes, arrived at the 101-bed center for homeless adults with mental illness just two days before his death.
