I certainly hope so because there has to be an electable alternative to TRUMP or HILLARY out there...
>>
He's unelectable.
>>
>>11939
I suggest reading this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Webb

Trump is the unelectable one.
>>
>>11937
Jim Webb never fully fit into the Democratic party anyways.
>>
>>11942
That's the great part - he's democratic but right enough to sap away Trump defects... It's the perfect plan!
>>
>>11937
What about Bernie Sanders? He's an alternative.
>>
>>11946
He's still in the race. He's too nice to Hillary, anyway.
>>
>>11948
Sorry, I might've misunderstood you. You want an INDEPENDENT alternative candidate?
>>
>>11950
YES. In fact, I can't believe somebody with an impressive resume` actually is running against Rodham & the boob... 2016 will definitely have 3 candidates out there...
>>
Webb is great guy; he's a champion of democrats past.. I really liked him in the debate, and I lean hard right.

But its not gonna happen.. I'm glad he's thinking about an independent run, because he can leech votes off Hillary. You can't sincerely believe he has a chance.

He was polling ubder five percent when he was with the dems.. If he tries to go it alone he'll have a fraction if that. See Gary Johnson; Ralph Nader, Buchanan, etc
>>
>>11969
He won't be leeching votes off Hillary. If anything his policies and his military background will end up leeching votes off whoever gets the republican nomination.
>>
>>11940
>Trump is the unelectable one
Good joke, look who he'd be running against.

Hillary is coming apart at the seams and Bill is a pedophile rapist.
>>
>>12042
I disagree. If he got any republican votes it would be the extremely moderate; and not the hawks. The moderate Republicans are doing horrible this cycle (Jeb, Christie). If he was to run independent, he'd get the centrist leaning dems that would have an alternative to Hillary; the ones who haven't drank the far left cool-aid. He'd get much more blue than red.

Trump 2016
>>
>>12048
Hillary isn't far-left. She's closer to Jim Webb than most of the GOP candidates.
>>
>>12048
Christie is not a moderate...

Unless there's something wrong with this website's methodology, Webb seems far closer to Clinton on economic issues and foreign policy than even the "moderate" Republican candidates.

>>12085
She's been leaning hard left this cycle, sanders has been pulling her that way. She needs the black vote and so far sanders has been pandering to that hard. She's also pushing free college tuition, the crem brulé of socialists. You're right in the regard that if she won office; she might not pursue a far left agenda, but she has no problem promising the flavor of the month while she's campaigning.

>>12086
He was much more moderate before joining the race, and to stay revelent he's has to court the far right. If he was to win (he won't) he'd show his colors. He's like a post-neocon moderate.

Honestly I'm really pulling for Ted or Don, so everyone else looks weak by comparison

>Damage control
>>
>>12146
That's the thing, when it comes to damage control, Trump doesn't beed any and no amount of it will save the other two.
>>
>>12048
Jim Webb worked with the Reagan administration. If that doesn't get you conservative votes I have no idea what does. There's a reason Jim Webb had such low numbers before he dropped out, Dems just aren't very into him. To be honest, I don't know why he even tried running in the Democratic party, probably some wedge issue he just hates Republicans for. Not to mention that, if this article is to be believed, one of his main points of an independent run would be to appeal to those who don't like the current politics of the country, that's a talking point that resonates the most among Republicans.
>>
>>12180
Fam he was running as dem because he was from Virginia, where to be a Senator you have to be blue. Also, he's uncharismatic and sways to easily to lobbying, he's not some magic candidate for centerists.
t. Virginia voter

PLEASE

PLEASE

This. Hillary is running to save herself from the effects of the Email scandal as no Republican will keep her out of prison should a Democrat lose.
>>
>>13239
She probably threatened the DNC to blow the cover off all the shit they helped her cover up if they didn't let her run basically unopposed to boot.

They're probably campaigning to save their lives or careers, I mean you can just smell the desperation emanating from the entire organization at this point, and we're not even close to the general yet.

It's going to be really fun to watch them get blow the fuck out, and hopefully go to prison.
>>
>>11937
Honestly, he should never have dropped out of the Republican party. We kind of need more people who aren't complete shit.
>>
>>11940
>>12047
Both Trump and Hillary are unelectable.
Trump is a bigotted moron and Hillary can't go 5 minutes without mentioning that she has a vagina. If either party can nominate somebody else, they'll win. Put those two together and I'm hoping we can get an independent candidate going. They might not win but if they can get even 10% of the vote it would send a strong message to both parties to get their shit together.
>>
>>13691
Unfortunately the Republican party doesn't want people who aren't complete shit. They're still stuck in Bible-thumping, anti-gay, anti-muslim, anti-science mode. Any candidate who goes against that is going to get driven out.
