Hey guys what do you think of PureFix bikes?
>>957068
They're shit. Their customer service is shit, and they're sold through LBS which are also shit.
Fixies are so 6 years ago.
I've heard they're surprisingly light for high tensile steel.
>>957069
Fucking this.
There are plenty of options if you want a cheap fixed gear.
Try State or Fyxation or Bikes Direct.
>>957068
I don't really care for them. Try these instead
Pake
State bicycle Co
Jamis
>buying already prebuilt fixies
seriously nigga? just get an aventon frame, some cheap shimano cranks pulled off of a 12 spd bike, get some used wheels and the rest are just peanuts. Its just a fucking fixie, not a trackbike

Shit advice

probably amongst the worst of the online fixed gear offerings
high tensile steel, straight tubing, and the questionable promax brakes, with that one china brand HL making everything and a shit tier NECO exposed bearing headset with cast NOT FORGED headset cups.
was suprising how cheaply slapped together these bikes are.
walmart quality.
state bicycle isn't much better
and neither is the urban outfitters ones
the raleigh is the only BS company using a vintage name i'd spring for the older bikes had reynolds tubing and sugino parts stock with a real headset. not great but it was a real one

the cheapest decent quality road bike you will find costs $700
the cheapest quality fixed gear is $500 which is basically the cost of a road bike minus the cheap groupset
get a Fuji Feather or Maxi Fixed Uno Drop

you forgot polandbike
I got myself a 6ku. Its a great commuter bike that i ride to work and for pleasure. I did buy it online, so it is another cheap build.
Got it for about 200 i think. I dont use it for anything else other than a commuter, because thats what its for.
I did change the handlebars, the crankset, and i took off the brakes. I love it.
Just do what you think is right. People on /n/ will do their best to discourage from getting a cheap fixie and they are not wrong for doing it. If you can, I would save up the money to get a better bike and not fixed gear either, even though i love mine.
The pic is pretty old, Still had the original crank on it.

As of right now, I do ride it to work and with the family on some weekends. thats all its ever good for.
Im saving up to get a BMX. Never had one before so im pretty stoked about getting one.
>>957826
they're ok. the wt is nice if you want to run wide tires with fenders. it's basically a surly steamroller. the stock wheels fukcing suck.
wabi bikes are pretty nice. better frame than the kilo, better wheels. meh crankset but that's easy as fuck to upgrade.
bought this off of amazon from a company called projekt for 269. So far it's been holding pretty well, actually had a crash the other day and it came out unscathed the only thing that's ultra shitty is the pre-installed grip tape which i've been to lazy to replace.

Fuji feathers are not good bikes the also sell $399 new
fixie fags go home
>>957757
SE Draft lite retails for around $350, with a flip flop hub and both rear and front brakes.
I work in an LBS that carries them. They're awful. So many problems with everything from the frames, to the bars to the wheels. Don't get one. When customers aren't in earshot we call them "pureshit". Those bikes are garbage.

i see you my fuji frame friend

Their Premium frames are cro-mo not hi-ten. Obviously from the same Taiwanese factory as a bunch of other fixie manufacturers' frames. Pic related, pay attention to dropouts.
However, I have no idea how good or bad Purefix price/performance is compared to its competion in OP's location.
