bmx helmets arent really comfy if you have hair.. but i guess its cause most of the riders are kids... i find it really really stupid. but oh well, when helmets where made mandatory for the tour of france there was also a lot of riders (including pantani) ,that where oposed of the rule..who knows. to each its own.

when I was bmxing I pretty much always ore a helmet. The only times I didn't were when I was just cruising around and not really trying anything challenging. I wore a skateboard helmet when I was at skate parks, jumping at the trails and street riding. When I was racing I wore a fullface helmet.. but that still didnt stop me from breaking my nose on my handle bars. Also it saved my head on a few occasions, I had some deep scratched into it where I slide for like 15 feet on the side of my head and on my shoulder. I also had it take a hit on the back side and chip into it about a 1/4 inch deep. that would have cracked my skull if I wasnt wearing it.

i always use it, i do street. maybe when i do short rides cruisin i wont, but thats it, for longer rides and actual transportation i have other bikes, yayyyy
