>motorail is dead
Why do all good things come to an end?
All things come to an end anon, good and bad.
aviation is the same
>high bypass wing mounted twinjets are the only real options for anything larger than a commuter plane [maybe a380 + 748, but the level of diversity has still plunged]
>727, dc-9, 737-200, bac-1-11, l-1011, dc-10, md-11, dc-8, concorde, etc are all dead.

At my country (Spain), there is a luxury train, the Al Andalus, it's not a transportation train, it's a turistic one, you can get one ticket for 3.500+ euro, and you will travel through the country for 6-7 days. I think it's really difficult to get tickets because they are sold instantly and the queue is really big.

>>night trains are dead
thatas why i had to sleep in front of some trainstations such as Paris gare du nord just because they had no nighttrains and closed the station for some hours

France is keeping three lines into the foreseeable future because they run to regions poorly served by HSR or other efficient daytime services. Good ol' socialist frenchies.
Also HSR trains are usually pretty luxurious, at least in first class. Dunno if there's any with real restaurant cars tho.
The sleeper is dead in Japan. But if you're *that* rich the era of the luxury train is still emerging

Just look at the guilt on their faces from after the world has ended
Also, the Ghan and Indian Pacific are still a thing in 'straya. No more motorail service on the IP (not sure why, considering the infrastructure requirement is just a ramp on both ends) but I think it'll be a thing for a while to come

As they get even faster than before, the idea of a restaurant on them is dying fast. The closest you'll get is on the older ICE models
