Dont really know much about British Steam, Is there a reason why the 4-6-2 Pacific's were so popular in the UK? I know you guys had a 2-10-0 but I dont recall ever hearing of a british locomotive with more driving wheels then that. Was there just no reason for a big articulated locomotive?

This gets back to the fundemental "The UK invented the railroad and the US perfected them" aspect, though.

If we needed more power the protocol was to add more engines.
Bankers was the term for engines used to haul already complete trains over hills.
I think you have/had them too.
