Loving it so far! I had the Camber Expert Evo last year (I work at a dealer too) and the new design is a noticeable improvement.
The biggest thing I've noticed are the shorter chainstays. It's ridiculously easy to manual!
The Epic is great too. However, it's first and foremost an XC race bike. I'd only ever choose an Epic over an equivalent Camber if I was focused exclusively on that.
The Camber is a much better all rounder for most riders imo.
Lastly, I've yet to ride the Expert/S-Works level Cambers this year, but I'm not the largest fan of the Brain for general riding... Even with the "improvements" they've made this year... That's the main reason I'm upgrading a Comp Carbon rather than going with an Expert Carbon.

Get some power green de-greaser and afterwards a little spray wax will keep your paint from fading to shit.

He said about 30km/h and nearly 40km/h, 10km is 6.2 miles so the actual increase is probably more like 5mph. It's not unbelievable that two bikes could result in a speed difference of that much, I can do about 18mph on a 40lb mountain bike on the flat and I could definitely get a light ass road bike over 23mph (bear in mind I made my previous post before he posted his old bike).

Not my primary bike- Bought a completely original Giant Peloton 8400 from 1999 from someone who rode it once and stored it in his basement until 2013. Paid him $150, and despite the age it works quite well.
Here it is. Got some Kéo Flex pedals for it today and shoes should be here by the weekend. Can't wait!

I honestly can say anything bad about it. Toe overlap was a bit of a thing for me in the beginning but it never turned out to be a problem. Build quality and components are excellent though for the price and it rides beautifully. Also fast and reasonably light.

Here's my 1994 Schwinn Passage I got almost a month ago while I was still in a sling for a broken collarbone. Replaced the stem, brake pads, and bar tape so far. The gumwalls on it right now don't look great but they still feel pretty grippy and don't have an rips so they'll be fine temporarily. I REALLY need to change out the saddle though; I'm currently using the saddle off my other bike whenever I ride it.

Paramount lust is really a modern invention. Paramounts used to just be Schwinns that were made to the quality of a European brand. This is especially true of the Japanese Paramounts. It used to be if you wanted a top quality frame, it came from Europe, if you wanted a frame that wasn't from Europe you got a Paramount. That changed with the Japanese bikes, which made bikes just as good for less, and now everyone is used to buying Taiwanese and Chinese crap that frames made in the first world have some kind of mystique. Paramounts never carried that prestige back then. Paramounts are only valued because Waterford exists.

geo is most stable i've ridden. not as quick underfoot as my Diamondback Prevail (tange prestige vs. tange 2? slightly longer wheelbase/rear triangle? flexy, heavy 36h wheels?) or the CAAD4. It rides comfortably over choppy roads even with 23mm rubber. The drops feel a little too deep and my hands are used to more modern/ergo hoods. The gearing is a little steep for the biggest hills (42 x 26).
All that said, I don't think I will ever sell this bike, considering how well it rides, and also having gotten it "complete" ie full suntour superbe group.
Anyway, if you have another chance to pick one up, I think three-fifty would be a good price to offer for a Lotus

I've never seen the point of it either really. Although I've never felt the need to use lockout if I did it wouldn't be in a situation where I couldn't stop riding or even quickly reach down and flip a lever.
Remotes for droppers I can understand, they're used much more frequently and it's better to have both hands on the bars when moving your arse to adjust the height. My dropper doesn't have a remote and I mostly used to adjust it whilst stopped, basically just a more convenient alternative to a quick release seatpost clamp.

This was fresh out of the box, for collegiate road season I've added a Rival 22 52/36 crank, SWorks Turbo 26c tires, and slammed the stem as far as I can. I primarily race CX and XC so I'm just using the bike for road racing/training and it works fine

I put electrical tape/vinyl wrap over the Shimano components and put Trek frame protector stickers over that. From 5 feet away, it looks "stock" rather than visually apparent that logos were covered. If the parts on that are in as good condition as they look (i.e. the wheels aren't buckled, the fork isn't shot, none of the bearings need replacing) then $100 for those to put on a different frame isn't a bad deal. It wouldn't be so terrible to spend more than that on a new frame if it's one that's worth it, but then such a frame really deserves better components.
I'd say get the cheap aluminium frame you can find in the right size that's not beat to fuck (steel isn't worth bothering with) as it's not going to be any worse than that one, I'd imagine you could probably pick one up for like $50.

Not very big, 1.75m and only 60kg, and yes I was going hard. Will see how I do when climbing in switzerland this summer. I have never done a long climb. I hope that my power/weight ratio can get me up those climbs properly.

I don't understand what's going on with the housing. I pull it forward so that there's a fair amount up front and not too much in the back but over use it pulls itself back like that. I assume it has to do with the cable itself catching the housing or whatever.
And as for the tires it was actually never intentional but just practical. I had two white tires, but when it came time to replace one of them the red ones were on sale so I bought one of those instead. Provided there's not a big price differential again I'm gonna go with a replacement white tire next time.

Meet the UMM, made from parts taken off of other walmart bikes/scooters. The suspension fork actually works pretty well when it isn't bottoming out (which is pretty often because this thing was made for 6 year olds). Even though it has 16" wheels I don't find it hard to get over obstacles.
Finally got the last parts for my main ride. Just need to get out of the office more often.

The "tensioner" and "ehh" bits look like they're chainguard mounts, not too unusual on kid's bikes. I'm not that poster but treks are great bikes. There are only 3 bike shops in my city and the one that sells treks is by far the best in terms of products and employees.
I have pic related but more shit on it. How do you guys manage to not freak the fuck out if you commute or go shopping on your fancy as fuck bikes? I know he doesn't specify the exact gear ratio but you could at least use some common sense. That chainring is 32t at the smallest and single speed hubs typically range from like 9t to 16t.
Even if you were confused by how the chain tensioner pushes on the lower chain run to make it look like it had a larger cog on the rear you can see that it doesn't stick out from behind the dropout.

Man, it's not really 1:1. The tensioner makes it look funny, but the rear cog is kind of small. Don't really remember how many teeth though. The max speed is about 35km/h, until you can no longer spin the cranks, but for the city, that's great. Gives me trouble downhill though, can't go fast enough.
But the rocket part meant my obsession with jumping on and off stuff, taking some wicked paths to avoid people and cars, riding down stairs, dropping off everything. Just having fun and riding through every obstacle.
Not calling myself a freerider, or a dirt jumper, but I just love riding the way I ride, not caring about the "true" meaning of urban freeride, or other things like that.

There is for team bikes. You know, the people that can actually ride a bike and ride it fast? Having a company name or logo easily visible on a race bike or kit is how it is and how has always been. Even Merckx had large MOLTENIs written on his jersey, shorts, and cycling cap.
Then there are the people that like to buy bikes that look like the race bikes, so manufacturers offer some models with paint schemes that are replicas of their team bikes or at least share similar styling or design elements.
I find it easy to understand why you aren't a fan of visually busy racing designs or styling, but you must be very dense to have no idea why some people don't get so damn worked up about it and just enjoy the colors or why some people find it appealing.
You can even buy a nice Trek and dress it up in whatever "good-looking" colors you want from the factory with ProjectOne

Got this from Halfords (No don't laugh). Seems a nice bike. Not ridden much before really. I can't understand the gears for shit (well I can but this whole using the middle chain rings for middle gears and big chain ring at front small at back etc for smaller gears to avoid putting strain on the derailleur just gives me a headache. When trying to actually get in a gear that is right for my ability I get all muddled).
I changed the seat for some cheap saddle I got from Lidl made by Medicus. Yeah I know a little about those other saddles (Brooks etc) but it seems comfy enough for now. I've only done a little local riding for the moment as I am waiting on a decent hand pump to be delivered and don't want to get caught out miles from anywhere yet. I will probably get some Marathon Plus tires later on if punctures become too much of an issue but for now I need to 'toughen up' because I am fat and unfit.
I got a bike bracket and screwed it to the wall to hang the bike off the pedal. Not sure how clever that is but I don't have much room and live on the third floor of an apartment.
I also changed the front stem to raise the handlebars up and towards me. I am trying to find a comfortable riding position but am still experimenting with that. At first my legs were locking out but now I am not locking out enough so raised the seat a bit for the next time I go out. I've mostly been just getting essential accessories and tools and acting like a faggot about the weather. Oh and I also got a Saris Solo (bit flimsy) for taking it outside my shitty urban landscape (London burbs).
I'm not confident riding in traffic right now. I wobble and get out of breath too much.
My biggest issue is the strain on my wrists and forearms. I get some pain and am wondering if it's my position or if I just need to get some muscle tone or something. Maybe get some wrist supports?

Start by raising your saddle. A lot. If you can't the bike is much too big for you. Either could explain your discomfort.

I have shimano 105 on this with blue tape, blue chris king hubs, black chris king headset, fizik seat, and speedplay pedals. I don't think its made any more.
