In a worldwide top 10 list for "place to ride trains" would be no U.S. city. There would be only places in Asia and Europe. NYC might barely make it in a top 20. But certainly no other place in U.S.

This.

Let's make a top 10/20 list, mah /n/igras.
Which place would be number one? Tokyo?
Also interesting contenders could be Amsterdam with it's many train and tram lines, Paris with it's huge Metro and beautiful terminus stations, Zurich also has loads of train and tram lines.
>>
The South Shore line is pretty much on the top of my list of American rail-related destinations.

London's speedy and the trains are nice, it's definitely better for commuting. But the only time when you can actually see anything is when you're in the suburbs (or using DLR). Much as it pains my bong heart to say it, Chicago is better for riding trains for pleasure, since they elevated their railways rather than putting them into tube so that you can see the sights, even if the trains are pleb-tier.

Tbh id put the world 3 as

1. Tokyo
2. Paris
3. London

i was disappointed by london's terminals, even st pancras is kinda dull inside.

>riding trains for pleasure
I want to do this sometimes, but I simply can't justify going on a train without having place I already need to go to. Plus I don't wanna sound autistic when someone asks what I did on the weekend.

Could be better.
>>
Maybe not the most beautiful, but certainly well laid out, clean, and efficient are the public transport systems in Munich and Vienna.
>>
>>917740
Chicago's system is pathetic, though. Slow, outdated, tiny trains.
>>
>>917940
Definitely, the trains themselves are absolutely pleb-tier.

There's no shame in riding trains for fun, anon. Where do you live?

Paris and Berlin are pretty good. I liked riding round Berlin.
