What is the longest bike ride you have ever done, and what bike were you on? For demographic comparisons, what are your gender, age, and country?

A single ride, for the purposes of this thread, can be done with breaks, but not with sleep. It has to be all done in one waking period. If you do a multi-day tour and sleep throughout that's great, but not what this thread is about.

I rode about 85km home for thanksgiving in 3 hours, it was gruelling

Some parts were fun but mostly it was complete misery. I woke up running late with a bourbon hangover and had to haul ass to get to turkey dinner on time, I didn't plan a route ahead of time so I kept missing turns and google maps took me over 4km of gravel on my slicks, followed by the most insane hill i've ever had to climb in my life
On top of that my rear derailleur was fucked so I couldn't shift properly or use 3 of my 8 rear cogs. I made it though!

Went about 31 kilometres a hour average through out the entire day.
Jumped on the road bike for a few hours for 170kms and immediately when I got back my mtb friend showed up and wanted to shred trails. So I went on my mtb and went for another 50kms of trail riding. Pretty good day, cycled about 6 hours.

The mtb ride could have been anywhere from 50km-100km because of cycling on the roads to get there. The trail itself is 50km, I've been too lazy to record how much road to travel to get to the trailhead.

He's saying the distance you went over the period of time you were riding does not match the pace you said. Conservatively you would need to average 37 kph to ride 220 k total in 6 hours. With part if that being commuting to a trail/riding trail. You may have been out riding longer than you remember. Or not gone quite as far. Or are implausibly fast.

Well I always head out at 10am and I got back around supper time, maybe 6pm. He gets off work at 3:30, arrives at my house at 4, and we head off for a 2hr trail ride. So 5 hrs on the road and maybe 2-3 hrs on the trails for a total of. 8 or 9 hours. Which means around 260kms in one day including commute of 30kms of road for trails. Which brings me around an avg of 28-34kms an hour of speed. This past year I have been eating food on the bike as I cycle, so no 30min time loss.

Pardon me, did you just say something to me eh? I'll have you know I graduated at the top of my class in the Canadian Politeness Force, and I've been involved in numerous secret runs to Tim Hortons, and I have over 300 confirmed friends. I am trained in welcoming warfare and am the most passive aggressive member of the entire canadian population. You are a person that I have yet to make friends with. I will talk to you with kindness the likes of which have never been seen before on this earth, mark my passiveness. You think you can get away with not saying thank you? Think again, neighbour. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of syrup drinking moose across the northern territories and your IP is being traced so you better prepare for the gift baskets, buddy. The gift baskets that not only contain Gift cards, but donuts from tim hortons too. You're gonna be befriended, guy. I can be nice anywhere, anytime, and can be nice to you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just if I write letters. Not only am i extensively trained in passive aggressive combat, but I have access to the entire moose army of the Canadian Maple Leaf Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to welcome your friendly ass right into the neighbourhood. You little neighbourino. If you had only known what friendly retribution your comment was about to bring down, maybe you would have eaten poutine with me. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're gonna let me pay the bill because that's how nice I am, guy. I will put you in the hospital and it will cost nothing cause our healthcare is free. I'll say sorry now, friendo.

Did 436 km in 18 hours riding, 23 hours elapsed this summer on my aluminum road bike (Giant Defy). It was in a group so not the same effort required as riding solo. My longest solo ride was around 230 km. Solo road rides are pretty boring so I mostly do gravel now when riding alone.

I'll need a new bike before I try anything longer. The frame is too big and I can't get the fit right.

>Longest distance
143.3 km, 2005 m elevation, 6 h 6 min moving time.

Rode from my door into town to meet a friend, then we rode into the local hills. We stopped for lunch at a small place I had been to that summer. The food was lovely the first time I was there, but this ride was in the middle of winter and nothing was in season, so it was shit on this occasion. We decided to go the long way round and ride the route the TdF took when it came through the area years ago. My friend tore a tyre so I gave him a boot and dragged him to the nearest bike shop. With about 5 km to go, I got a nosebleed and I rode for a while pinching my nose with one hand.

>Longest moving time
141.4 km, 3191 m elevation, 6 h 37 min moving time.

Last day of a cycling holiday in Spain. I got a KOM I had been chasing on the descent at the start of the ride and rode at a decent pace on the early hills. We stopped for lunch with 66 km and 1900 m still to go, starting with a HC climb. While we ate, the Sun built up to full force, which doesn't suit me at all. I started feeling worse and worse through the climb and even though we stopped for a good rest at the top, I couldn't keep up on the gentle descent that followed. For the rest of the ride, my mood and energy levels ebbed and flowed with the rolling countryside. It was the closest I had ever come to cutting a ride short due to fatigue, but I pushed through to the end. Just 200 m before the end though, though the one guy in the group who I had consistently out-rode overtook me on the final climb as I was in no condition at all to contest it with him.

I felt like absolute shit afterwards - could barely stay awake. I threw up at dinner too, which strangely made me feel much better immediately afterwards. Going through the transfer and the airport the next morning was hellish.

The bike for both rides was pic related.
