oh shit, is that a set of drops youve flipped to use as the frame hanger? thats a really good idea
>>
>>891836
Yes. It was another anon's suggestion. It works quite well.
>tfw don't have to clamp carbon
>>
>>891838
yeah, that does look really nice. wouldnt ever have to change the pressure either...i might see if i can do something like that where i work, i dont know if they'll let me mess with the stuff theyve given us already though
>>
>tfw no dedicated space to work on bikes

I added a tool tray to my workstand. So nice having a tray right next to the bike to hold parts and tools.
>>
>>891839
Do you work at a LBS? You could probably just have a drop bar and stash it somewhere when not working, and when you are working clamp it in the stand.
>>891840

eh, im the bike mechanic at a sporting goods store. i doubt theyd let me, but if i ever have enough space for a home workshop i will definitely be doing that to my clamp

If you wrapped those bars with tubes, i bet it would cut down on the bike moving around a bit.
>>
>>891877
I only just got it tuned, It had to 'settle' after 5 years in storage. Its in surprisingly good condition though apparently. Should be some good bicycle touring $$$ : D
>>
>>891897
What do you mean by tubes?
>>
>>891903
he means cut up some old inner tubes and put them over the bars. is english your 1st language?

cool lair. You should go full drillium on your kids whip. Drop some grams.
>>
>>891787
Get yourself a toolbox, then that shit would only take up like 1/8th the space and you could carry it all at once. Also you can then use the table for working on stuff.

I just work on my bikes in my garden, usually on the patio. Sucks when it's raining (lolbritain) as it means working in my narrow kitchen but luckily I don't have to do stuff to my bikes very often.

Fuck. I just realized I'm a hoarder since I started biking. I'm buying so much shit I don't need and I can see it in these images. Why the fuck did they make bike tools so specific
>>
>>896169
Same here. I've got a bunch of stuff that I've bought that didn't end up using including bar ends, a Garmin computer, and a carbon 3T seatpost. The worse part is that I'm a poorfag who thinks long and hard before each purchase so I don't know how the fuck I ended up with all of this stuff that's just sitting in drawers.
>>
>tfw new to cycling and don't have a stand yet

Fucking hell I NEED one, having to hold the bike with one hand and pedal with the other when checking things is a pain in the cunt.

I'd really like a good stand.

I'm using one of my heavy duty photog light stands right now, but it really doesn't like that much weight, much less wrenching on it.
