Post bus stops. They don't have to be beautiful. Even the gloomy ones are preferred.
>pic related
A bus stop from USSR. I saw it on /int/. Don't know the exact location sadly.

Found the set this is from, OP, helps narrow it down a little (translated):
>Here are pictures of French photojournalist Jean-Paul Pierre Guyotat he made in 1990-1995 gody.Na photo several cities: Moscow, Norilsk, Grozny, Port of Providence, Krasnoyarsk.

>>868027
Also, judging by the industrial and barren landscape, I would guess the OP pic is from Norilsk, famous for its nickel mines and smelters.
>>868028
>random industrial Russian city
>"It must be Norilsk! I saw on Reddit!"
>>868036
>Moscow, Norilsk, Grozny, Port of Providence, Krasnoyarsk.
I deduced that from this list of cities that the photographer visited. Don't be a little bitch because you didn't know what Norilsk was/looks like before reddit showcased it. I wouldn't know if they did or not, since I'm not an illiterate pleb like you.
>>868039
>not an illiterate pleb
>"Norilsk everywhere!"
there was a greyhound bus stop in the middle of nowhere north california we stopped at in the middle of the night.
this thing was like a single building with old candies for sale and no restroom at all. not worth even getting out of the damn bus for.
>>868191
found a picture.
imagine pulling up to this at around 11 pm.
>>868187

>>870617
maybe anon, but we got there on hour 12, of my 24 hour bus ride.
made me decide to not use greyhound anymore, train is much more scenic, even if it takes a bit longer.

Looks nice, too bad it'll be trashed soon enough.
>800.000
>>873377
Oh, will it? I didn't know that. Minden-Lübbecke could really use some better public transport.
>>873122
northern california, go figure.
This used to be my bus stop, but no more.
>>873426
Is that in LA?
>>873391
I think he means it's the Greyhound Station in Weed, CA
This is the crosstown terminal on the far side of town, really way too nice for the tiny amount of buses they take
>>875979

My hometown bus station.
This is my current bus station. It cries 1930s.
Functionalism was a big thing here, so we have all sorts of public buildings with similar style around the coutry. I find they have aged quite gracefully, they are pretty.
Essentially the last generation of buildings built with the traditional methods and to last, then they found reinforced concrete and things went downfall.
a common sight in the netherlands
@conservationist Same in London

Interactive ones in downtown
Here's a bus stop in Connecticut.
>>876110
Wait. That whole building is a bus station?
>>876426
Is that bus stop located on a bridge?
In a small town nearby (Poland). This was a hall with a waiting room and a ticket office, but when the office was liquidated (due to declining traffic), and the hall was devastated by bums, it was converted to a store.
>>880026
Aah, I forgot a photo.
>>880027
Looks pretty cozy tbh.
>>876388
What is interactive about it?
>>885719
why you can get in, and even sit down! What more interaction can you ask for?

The ones downtown have a big LCD screen fitted into the box that is usually reserved for those giant paper ads. The LCD screens allow ads to be cycled but also allow transit users to interact with the screen and access things like bus routing and scheduling information on top of other neat little things like live bus and métro tracking.
>>886227
Non, c'est évidement Sept-Îles.
/s
Bien sûr que c'est Montréal. Il n'a pas un autre système au monde qui utilise les mêmes abribus que la STM.

That's clearly a tram stop you trogdolyte
>>876110
Plenty of the functional style buildings are reinforced concrete. It's a perfectly fine material to use with traditional in-place construction.
The word you are looking for is prefabricated concrete elements, which plague Finnish architecture to the date. They quite literally make everything look the same.

Tel Aviv Central. A white elephant, a smoker's lung in the core of the city. The influx of migrant workers actually made it better, because they took over vacant shops and made the place less deserted.

where??
Chicago bus stop. They recently put electric boards on some of the sheltered stops which show arrival times and also have audio announcements of arrivals as well.
>>901130
Middle of nowhere ;D.
My city bus station handles the biggest working PAZ bus collection in whole country:
11 -PAZ 672
3 - PAZ 3205
and 1- KAVZ 3270.
>>876890
Essentially the middle secftion is a ticket hall and waiting area. You are right, it is quite big. Needlessly big. You'd cram the current easily clientele to about third of the space.
The north wing is a parcel terminal, because the biggest remote bus operator (matkahuolto) here also handles a lot of parcel traffic.
I don't know what all that floor space was originally for, but now there's a pub, a canteen, a barbershop and used computer shop (old office machines).
>>901634
You can tell these buses were once communist.
>>904191
I wonder how you came to that conclusion,
We need an /n/ sticky too many shitposters come here and post really easily solvable bicycle questions or asking if they should buy a bike and bumping legitimate threads.
>>906749
Reminder that complaining about bike threads is a request for a new bike thread
Congrats, you made yourself a new thread!
