Bicycle repair tools.

I want to start repairing bicycles as a side gig. Do you guys know where I could get tools on the cheap?

I'm Dutch if that matters.

Also not sure what tools would be considered the bare minimum to start.

My list so far:
>set of wrenches,
>allen keys,
>couple screwdrivers,
>flat and nose pliers,
>a chain tool,
>a pedal removal tool,...

You cannot accept money for something you are barely prepared to do. Get better and you'll know when you're ready.

I'm not going to do the usual fare. I'm going to be buying used bicycles for cheap and restoring them and selling them onwards.

And I've been disassembling bicycles and reassembling them since I was 6 so I know my ways around them.

My only problem with tools is that my father never allowed me to buy specialized tools so I had to make do with wrenches and not much else. I still managed everything but now I want to do it the easy way.

Newfag at biking to work here. Is it me or do you get a flat tire a lot more often while it rains? How can I avoid this?

Next time use the BQG...

But yeah I do get more punctures during or immediately after a rain, probably because running water can wash small bits of glass across the road surface.

As for what to do about it: if you're getting punctures too often (note that you should rule out other causes first: pinch flats, tire damage, rim strip out of place, etc.) switch to a tire with a tougher casing, and/or one with a wider profile that's going to be less prone to picking up debris.
>>
>>927218

Get tires that don't fuck a dick

Like maybe something about 60 tpi

Senpai

Thnk about it

Better tires

Tighter weav

Getting that rolling resistance down to like, tight tight tight fresh shit
>>
Being aware of the road surface in front of you and not riding the gutter help reduce flats a lot. Obviously more resistant tires help a lot too. If you just don't want to fuck with it get marathons and pretty much never flat again.

Batty is way the fuck too white for me. I've dated white girls before but the normal kind, not the neon-white where she's wearing fucking pearls around her neck and her creepy uncanny valley blue eyes. She's probably a robot, it would not be surprising at all if she crashed her bike too hard, the battery pack inside her torso overloads, and she'd explode, covering all the bystanders with battery acid.

The correct answer is, has always been, and always will be Maya Rocha, of course. Just the...

312 KB,
So, I'm completely new to cycling and I agreed to go on a 150 mile ride later this summer with a friend. First off I need a bike, as mine is shit. This Fuji was recommended to me by my local bike shop. Would this be a good option for what I'm doing?

Also is there anything else I should know before going on this long ass ride? Once the weather is warmer I'll try to build up to riding longer distances. And the padded bike shorts are pretty much a must right? Any other advice you guys could give would be great. Thanks.

For the bike? Or what is my spending limit? They said $720 for the bike, and my limit would probably be around $900 if it would be worth it. I'd rather not buy second hand.

>I'd rather not buy second hand.
A bike is literally the best thing to buy second hand.
Any wear can be easily seen .

Then you should probably get a bike with lockout... m8...

also check pinkbike.com/buysell

$1500 a bit steep for a used entry level alloy mtb I think? I got a fairly high end carbon enduro bike for like $1600, albeit a few years old
>>
That's not a downhill bike. That's a trail/all mountain/enduro/buzzword of the month bike. Which is fine if that's how you intend to ride, but a downhill sled it is not. Considering you want to be able to ride up hill I'm guessing you don't actually want a downhill bike anyway. IN that case the Norco is probably all good, just needs a dropper post, a thorough check over before handing over any money and to badger him down $200.

How long does it take the average person to learn to ride a Unicycle and how easy are they to maintain and repair

Its a fucking bike saddle on a wheel.

So easier than a bike then

The only problems are the expensive specific unicycle crank remover and Norwegian threaded diamond taper bottom brackets. Also if the Gyro goes you might as well replace the whole unicycle.

Yes, they renamed it the "Elizabeth Line".

It's going to be weird seeing it on a map as just "Elizabeth" unless they keep the line part. It's going to be awkward either way.

Do any of you guys know of any custom frame builders that do track frames, or have had experience working with custom builders? I wanted to buy a LOW, but also wanted to check out others work before committing to a (kind of) custom frame. I'm in the SF Bay Area if that helps for suggestions. But as long as they ship internationally thats an option as well... Thank you.
