Simple but really nice to listen to. Melody and vocal style are a little bland to me, but everything that surrounds it is just fantastic. You are great
>>64201418
I think the beat is really good here and I think your lyrical message connects with the beat in kind of a unique, ironic way. But if you want this to be better I think you really need to work on your flow and lyrics, because I think they are really lackluster. I hope you try to improve though because I like your musical personality
>>64201397
I didn't hate this, but I feel this track is very weak. All the emphasis in the song lies on the vocals, but the melody is weak, the harmonies are kind of okay, but the vocals are also off-pitch. It needs a lot of work, I'm sorry. Just my perspective.

i'm making an album with one song for every hour of the day
i think this fit for midnight
>>64202813
First track: love the wobbly beat, and the way you double track the vocals in the begining and how you add the effect at the end of the first rapped verse was a really nice touch.
Second track: awesome jazzy feel, really digging the chord progressions and baseline. Also the way you chop up the vocal sample is perfect for the track.
Third track: feels much more chilled out and organic than the first to. really like the record popping sounds added to some of the track makes it very vintage feeling. Great ep i even like how breif the tracks are makes it feel very fresh.
3rd set of songs is my favorite I just love the vintage sampling vibe and skewed vocals that ocassiobally come in. Good stuff.
Me
>>64202670
What do you think of mine?
>>64202958
The indie approach would be a great fit for this song. Getting a vibe where the music forms around the vocals which are a good feeling. Good sense of beat dropping off and signaling back in. What would I improve is more of a subtle entrance as you took in the ending. And more emphasis on the beat drop offs to get a good attention grasp on the audience.

I liked the sounds halfway through. They did have a more midnight feel, but I have to admit I'm not a fan of the intro. It would have been nice to have the middle at the start and then a bit more of a development on that.
>>64202670
Sounds well structured and generally achieves a consistent sort of vibe. So I think there is a core of a decent track here. I feel like the vocals are a bit underpowered in places - works when the singing is louder though. Sometimes I also feel like I get tired of the happy plinky plonky plucks, especially when the vocals sort of sink under them. As far as mastering I think the low freqs could have had a bit of a boost. Or more bass in general would make it feel fuller.
>>64202277
Listened to Jupiter. I'm sorry I don't listen to enough trap to get a sense of this track's reason for existence. Without that context I feel there are some disjointed beats about which I think less would have been more. Can't say much about the melody, but in terms of pure sound it seems fairly well produced. Perhaps a little more umpf in the bass drum would have been satisfying, but again I don't know how that relates to the genre style.
>>64202264
Very nice atmosphere. Love those high bell rings and shakes. Your bass drum feels definitely too punchy in comparison, it ruins the mood a bit for me. Snare could have been a little crisper and higher pitch too. I think that would have sounded smoother.
This is a track I've made recently.
https://soundcloud.com/tubularmiriam/dayandnight
I don't really know what genre terms to use to describe it, perhaps someone could make a suggestion? Any feedback would be appreciated. I'll follow back also.
>>64203224
Quite a nice track. I don't usually listen to whatever this dreampop etc. is, but it's quite pleasant and carries you along. However, mids feel crowded. Drums a little lost. Vocals feel dull & need a high freq boost!
>>64201754
Posing for Rosey! Extremely smooth. I like how I start off feeling a bit uncertain about the percussion rhythm as it opens, but as soon as the track fills out around it then it just sounds entirely natural. Only criticism would be the length, I feel like what was there musically could have occurred in a few minutes less - but then that's just because I get bored easily. I think this would be good to listen to high.
>>64202264

I really like how intricate the druns are, the synth tones a a little cheesy but they have a good chord progression and solid gummy bassline. Very fun sunny track I enjoy it a lot.

Thanks for the feedback!
As for your track im really diging the way you play with the skittering electronics with the right and left channel, it gives the song a very cool texture. That being said it does feel a little boring after 6 minutes of mostly the same idea. Good ideas here I just think it could use a little more variety is all.

i think this does have some potential, im personally not too into the beat (but thats purely a matter of taste) but its pretty turnt up so i can imagine peepz diggin it. your bars/flow is pretty on point, obviously your goin in and did a great job keepin on beat etc. overall id say once the mix has been sorted out and everything touched up this'll be good. solid demo!

Not really my jam at all soundwise, just not my thing, but you've done a great job production wise, it all sits very nicely, good balance, and those drum samples sound pretty good, just be careful with the fast snare, you can hear the samples on the really fast ones, maybe try switching between samples?

Imagine Foals with a dash of Depeche Mode and Ian Brown - but I like the way it was put here : -
"you had me with that bass guitar. the vocals blend flawlessly with the other instruments like the swirl of a soft serve cone."
>>64205098
Very deep I think the anme wavy beats sums up the atmosphere of these quite well - trap style drums with a Boards of Canada vibe to it
these rules are peak, i stuck to the rules but the guy below me didnt but then the guy below him did stick to the rules and so essentially STOLE my f'in feedback (dw im aware of how melodramatic im being, just think it helps make my point)...there should be an additional rule of fuck the guy above if he didnt take 10 seconds to read the OP or any other post in the thread and give feedback to the last person above you who did stick to the rules.

Way to do that is just go to the link of the dumbasses who are posting without giving feedback and just give them shit.
They get one view and a message telling them they're a fucking shitcunt, and that they're not getting any more listens.

>>64205487
true but people ITT could be more observant about who to ignore for not playin by the rules, obviously if you wanna check em out and give feedback thats your perogative, but i think if the thread is gunna have rules people should only apply rules to people who alo stuck to the rules, just my take!

That's true, but like the guy said, he basically got screwed out of his listen, and any critique.
It's super tempting with these threads to just dump your stuff and not listen to anyone else's.
And that's why the last few have been shit, you post in them, listen to a few tracks, and you don't get a single hit, don't find out what you're doing wrong, because some fucking scab has just been spamming and running.
These threads only work if people listen as well as promote their own stuff.
So I reckon give feedback to everyone, and if they didn't give feedback, then their feedback can be "I don't listen to music by cunts, you dickless loser".
>>64205559
thats cool man, im not really that angry, as i said in my post i was being dramatic for effect, just pointing out a flaw in the rues proposed in the thread (im not even a huge fan of the rules really, i think generally, the amount of feedback you give and the amount you get is always correlated in these threads so people who are active generally benefit from feedback, rules or no rules. plus the forced feedback rarely goes beyond 'cool drums' if they werent intending on leaving feedback anyway, which is no good to anyone!)
but yeh i so i aint mad at you senpai, thanks for leavin feedback n makin these threads a better place!
>>64205614
yeh exactly i may have written that badly coz its 420 yolo and im all kinds of high, but what i meant was kinda what your sayin, we just need everyone to enforce rules by not leaving feedback to the guy who didnt bother, because that just shows theres absolutely no reason to stick by the rules coz youll simply get your bit of feedback because your gunna be above someone. essentially your right, coz i literally uploaded that track just before i posted and so was genuinely interested to get my feedback, and it seems like the obvious answer is to leave feedback to the last person above you to stick to the rule.

>>64205766
this is gr8 imho
>>64205782
thats peak, as the guy who originally posted about this whole thing, i would not do that personally seems a bit much, i just meant if someones obviously seen flauting the rules then just dont apply the rules to them, obviously if you wanna check them out and leave feedback anyway thats up to you! but yeh i feel u that u want to keep it anon but if the thread insists on having rules it might be worth just giving 1 bit with your post just to make it clear you are participating and leave any other feedback anon...but yeh that seems a bit to far to me...

I made this song by myself, got to a posting point last night. Complete coincidence that it's exactly 4:20 long. I thought that was cool. I used to post here a lot but haven't in a long time. This new song i made has better stereo imaging than most of my stuff. It's not perfect (or completely finished) but i worked hard on it, and it's a good glimpse into the new music we will be making.

>>64206031
my only synth is a korg volca keys
but i also use guitar delay pedals and recently got hold of a spring reverb, the last album was mostly just experimenting with my new pedals
its a fun synth, the longer you spend with it the greater sounds you will discover
>>64206114
Some interesting things going on here for sure. Rhythmically it's super detached which is interesting, but then it's repetitive af so it starts to wear on your ears REALLY quick. It's not my type of music at all, but I dig some of the effects goin on. The song as a whole gets way too repetitive for me, but it's an interesting idea for a B part of a song or something like that. Don't think it quite holds up on it's own as is.
Here's my latest, just finished this morning. Original artwork as well.

thanks for the honest reply. It's kind of supposed to be repetitive, if one was not into the whole doom metal deal i can def see where it wouldn't hold one's attention. I still have better mastering to do, add a bass part, and some other stuff.
I like the song you posted a lot. the beginning sounds a little dry, but at a minute in, it really starts to kick. i like that change of pace a LOT. samples are definitely clean and interesting. you're good at what you do friend

Those are some dirty tones more fuzz here than a donut shop. Really dirty love the tempo really suits the music feels like a waking giant. quite melodic as well and that strange delayed noise adds to the atmosphere of the track greatly. The mix doesn't exatly leap out but I feel that suits the aesthetic better - if it was too hi fi it would be at odds with the tune. The panning is nice though. 4:20 - nice
>>64205985
This is cool got a real noir vibe to it with the walking bass and jazzy drums. The vocals are very good cutting through nicely and with the effect to add to the flavour the lyrics set the scene nicely here as well. Production wise it I can hear everything but the drums could cut through a bit more it starts to feel a little muddy later on. Shame about the cut off at the end - really yanked the tune from under me. Good stuff though!
>>64205766
Nice Harmonies very ambient textural productions nice here too.
>>64205252
Here's some passion to the playing which I love! The tune rocks but the way it's played is what is selling it. The production could be better however you should still be proud
>>64205567
Listening to Soma and I can't help but bop the Swing you have is irresistable and I love how the sound feels as if it is undulating. Really nice rolling vibe to this track. The voice sound gives it an ethereal feeling that really makes me think about other dimensions until the "whoah" sample pulls me back in. Production wise spot on and the levels are great.
