Not saying it's very good from a design standpoint, I just think it'll fit it way better and it's pretty easy to beat the current art they have for it

the current photo is quite clever, minimal post processing if any at all, and it has good lighting and mood. especially with the really sinister smile drawing you in toward the center
removing the color for some black and white no detail, with television static effects totally removes the feeling of the original photo, it makes it visual noise for you to skim past without taking a 2nd glance, its an edit because if that was the original, that woudl be obviously the worse, which is why its posted after the original cover, because you know what it is now, its there to be loud and in the background to the rest of their media going on

I'm not much of a photographer or designer so I don't know how masterful the actual cover art is from a technical standpoint, but what I can say is that for me at least the cover does nothing and this alt cover at least looks like it fits something they'd release.

The voice quotes a lyric from Trash. Maybe Pehrson just liked the lyric and decided to use it and it has nothing to do with DG, but he's posted 2 separate teasers which features Death Grips music, and another video of Andy dancing with a glow stick with the hash tag "poppin pillows".
