I've been getting into some gritty Memphis hip hop recently. Any recomendations? Doesn't have to be Memphis, must be obscure and gritty as hell.

This is really refined. If you like triple 6 then evil pimp does it well. He can't touch Lord infamous on lyrical capabilities but his flow is top notch.

Any new Memphis?
Chris Travis is definitely someone to check out. I'd recommend 5 A.M. to first listen too, then that whole album (Art of Destruction) after. His style is weird, but it's different.
