>tfw the music gets too good i have to pause it and stand up and pace around for a few minutes
Any fellow autists know this feelio?
>>66494657
that's actually kinda cute, anon.
In public transportation I sometimes move my hand/feet or head to the rhythm, or , when I think no one sees me, even lipsync to the music.
I do that too, but I don't pause it.
I don't remember if that's happened to me with music, but literature does that to me all the time.
>>66494657
this is not autism, rather a psychotic personality, which is the contrary
>tfw I get so anxious when I listen to highly acclaimed albums that I can't enjoy them for the music alone and have to either turn it off or ignore it completely
>>66494815
same famino
>>66494757
Also same
I mouth along to the WEEEEEOOOOOOWEEEEE on Saturday Night Inside Out
>>66494926
Pausing music and walking around makes you psychotic? Good thing I go to autistic extremes to never pause my music. I hate interruptions.
hm...I like messing with youtube masher. I like taking videos, usually of montages (events, travel, etc.) and seeing how it looks with music I like.
>>66494757
Same. I also like figuring out and singing the harmonies. I usually do that while I'm in the relative privacy of my car, but I'm pretty sure I've done that with headphones on and while out and about.
>>66494657
Holy shit, I've done this too. Like after a powerful crecendo in a GYBE album, I have to just take my headphones off and just stand up/pace to reflect on it
Same famalam
I post on 4chan's music board.
>>66494657
>>66494757
>>66495436
I do that sometimes.
Sometimes when music gets to me i have to close my eyes and just take it all in.
>>66494955
Stop being a faggot.
>>66495898
I try, I do.
I sometimes don't listen to music I like out of fear they'll get boring or don't have as much of an impact if I listen them to often.
>>66495132
shit, I mouth to guitar sounds/general sound effects in songs. Like the guitar riffs in Death Grips - Spikes
legit autism here
>listen to the first few songs of an album and then switch to another when I get bored
>listen to the same album 5 times a day if i'm really into it
>have a lastfm account that I haven't checked in 2 years yet still scrobble religiously
I exclusively listen to albums.
Since I've been listening to a lot of music these past six months, I keep a notebook by my bed of all the moments that hit me in a very special way whether good or bad and rate them out of ten. 5/10 is the baseline as pleasure from an orgasm and I haven't had any 10/10 moments but I MISS YOU at the end of Spiderland is tied for first with 9/10.
>>66496007
>liking music
I imagine I'm the one performing the music and pace around listening to it and then I sometimes cringe to myself with the actual thought of me playing these songs because it'd be fucking horrible.
I also concoct music videos in my head to some songs.
And I sometimes will listen to a part of a song I really like and then stop and go to another song with a different part I really like and pretend they're just one song.
And I sometimes will play certain songs in order from different bands together and pretend they're just one album (that I pretend that I made and having it be mind blowing to random people including my ex gf and having her regret breaking up with me).
>>66494657
Not really involving music, but i randomly start blinking very fast and lightly grunting. The times vary but it goes from between a minute to a hour. I guess for autistic things i unknowingly swear without meaning to.
>>66494657
holy fuck I do that too, but more with movies or tv-shows
before i go to sleep i have to make sure i have a proper song playing for how i feel at the time. if i focus on anything else while that song is playing, i have to play another one. if i forget to cancel the queued songs after it, and one starts playing, i have to set up a few more to play before i actually sleep. sometimes i delay the time i go to sleep by an hour just messing with this.
>>66494757
is that really considered autistic lmao i do that every day
I rarely listen to albums as a whole other than the first time
Usually listen to a newfound song on repeat for multiple days until mood changes or until I've had enough
Often fantasize about meeting my favourite artists as if I'm their equal
>>66494757
>>66495948
i do these too, besides the lastfm account thing. I mean, i have one, but i do check it from time to time.
Plus, i mentally divide every album i listen to in two half and force myself to like one half more than the other. It's almost always the first half for some reason. I also picture myself on stage playing the music i'm listening to, trying to focus on what kind of scenography i'd use for it, but this usually happens when i hear an album for the first time
>>66495912
dammit i do this too
>>66496241
R u me bb?
>>66496454
that picture kek
also i do the same with the album halves
>>66496241
i do the music video and mixing albums thing.
>>66496433
>I rarely listen to albums as a whole other than the first time
i do this a lot but i'm trying to stop because sometimes i hear one of the deep cuts later and think wow why haven't i been listening to this
>>66496659
YES same here
>>66494657
yeah, and it's why I almost solely listen to music on my phone so I can pace the main hallway of my house and still listen to stuff
admittedly I also just like pacing in general, but good music definitely does to me what you described
>>66495948
all of these too, though the last one probably wouldn't be so true if I didn't have thousands of false scrobbles from skipping through songs on shuffle
>>66496241
and also all of these minus the cringing and the music video part
>>66494657
im autistic and i cant help but get up and move around when a song is good idk if thats related though
also
>i have to pause it
why? its better still listening to it while pacing around
I haven't listened to VU&N, or TMR, or anything by Zappa. They're also recommended to "Music Geeks" but I just was never even remotely interested in them. I like WLWH a lot tho
>>66496939
I only listened to VU&N for the first time today.
>new album from one of my fav artists comes out
>it becomes the only thing i listen to for about a month or so
>fuck up guitar parts while performing live
>refuse to listen to rap, metal, or pop
>>66496007
what's it tied with?
Shit thread. None of you guys are posting anything that can be considered autistic. Just a bunch of self loathing betas
>>66494657
that is super adorable :3
>>66497583
Why dont you go pee-pee in your mouth and drink it all up and you shake it all about, you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself arund that's what it's all about.
>>66496241
>I imagine I'm the one performing the music and pace around listening to it
ayy same, only I usually listen to the song in my head as I do the pacing/etc
>>66497157
Did you like it?
>>66494926
Seriously? I have to get up and leave whenever a song or scene in a movie is too scary or stimulating,
>>66494657
I post on mu
>>66498090
I have that with movies being too cheesy in some ways
>>66495912
Me too, is it a bad thing to do?
>>66495318
i think he meabnt that sometimes manic peoples will get "too" into it and have to storm for a while to calm down.
>>66494757
This but kinda one step higher
I'll lipsync no matter what, and sing when not too many people are around
I'm a lifeguard, so sometimes when it's not too crowded I'll sing a song that I like to pass the time
I don't really care what people think of me, so I don't really care if they hear me or not
>>66498271
>>66496458
>>66495912
thats actually a pretty good idea
fuck all those peoples lsitening 100th time to the same tack
they will have tinnitus by the time they are 40
moderation is key.
>>66496419
Everyone is ignoring the most autistic thing in this thread
sometimes when i'm frustrated i lay down on my bed and shake my body vigorously screaming "I'M HAVING AN AUTISM ATTACK!!!"
>>66498782
i do the same thing but only naked, standing up, and in public
>>66498753
that's not autism thats OCD, in fact, appart from one or two post, nothing in this thread is autistic.
>>66494657
i sync up the lyrics on loads of my songs manually so i can sing along later, have done it to about 100 songs so far to make .lrc files
pic related is how you make them
>>66494757
I do this all the time. Sometimes I'll just start humming.
>>66498862
>appart from one or two post,
I FUCKING HATE WHEN PEOPLE DO THIS JUST TELL US WHAT THEY ARE HOLY FUCKING SHIT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>>66494757
I do this all the time, not at all autistic to feel your music
>>66495912
I take Ys on a strict twice a year diet
>>66496315
Tourettes maybe?
>>66496007
>an orgasm is 5/10
this is the true autismo
>>66498271
no, but it stresses me sometimes out
>>66494657
I actually get annoyed when the song changes and there's no quick silence inbetween the songs. I will pause the music and pace around the house, drinking in the silence I was denied.
God, being autistic sure sucks sometimes.
>>66495856
I know this feel. It's the only way I can disconnect in an instant
>>66497654
Kek
>>66496431
This thread is literally how normal humans enjoy music they like.
Except for >>66495990 fuck m8, stop acting like a /mu/ meme
