Are they the biggest hypocrites in music industry?

Here's what I don't understand. People always give these dudes shit because they sold fuckloads of records and hence got rich. But I have never heard anything from them as a band where they said something that would imply getting rich via starting your own business that doesn't violate any ethical boundaries is not okay. As far as I can tell they are anti huge corporations using their money and power to exploit workers, corrupt the democratic process and destroy the environment, they are anti American neo imperialism and military espionage in foreign democracies for nefarious purposes, they are against what they see as excessive or unfair government or police violence for the purposes of quieting dissent. . . it seems to me that stupid people just go "hurr they are left wing dat mean they communist dat mean if they got rich through the bands albums sales they hypocrites".
I'm happy for someone to educate me though if there is more specific, intelligent depth to the criticism of them.

One of us little people.

Because once you make it you should shut the fuck up, there is nothing worse than a rich socialist.
See Moore telling us that we should live like in Venezuela and Cuba while living in a multimillionaire mansion and Dicaprio bitching about global warming while flying a private jet to buy groceries.

I think just the fact that they complain about large corporations whilst being on a Sony label in pretty hypocritical.
>>
>>66490921
please explain whats cringe about that
>>
A bourgeois individual can be a socialist/communist, they can use their resources to further the movement.

if you're a millionaire and you advocate financial equality, then you have the direct advantage of being able to give all your money to charity or to start businesses that help more people in more socially beneficial ways. they don't do either. they sit on a pile of cash and don't practice what they preach.
>>
But who's not hypocritic in modern music tho? maybe only those insane norwegians who spent years in prisons
>>
>>66495310
they're hypocritical because they're atheists who pretend to worship satan

How is Zach de la Rocha worth more than Morello? Is it because Morello does jackshit now?
>>
>>66495542
Singers make more than guitarists because they are the ones people pay to listen.
>>
>>66495542

Morello actually donates his money

It's pretty similar to situation when people would argue against taking Fight Club seriously on any real philosophical or economic ground, because despite what Tyler Durden advocated for, his actor, Brad Pitt is quite the liberal and it made his character seem rather ironic.
