It's not really apples to apples, Tupac was (is???) very boisterous and energetic whereas Biggie's sound was calm and chill. Tupac has the obvious edge in quantity, but you can't really compare their quality against each other
2pac is very overhyped.

Biggie could talk about a turd and he would make it a lyrical master piece with alot of funny reference and dark humor.

same anon, expanding on this, I've heard a lot of people say that Biggie's the more technically skilled while Pac has more thematic and lyrical depth.
I don't necessarily agree with that - Big had some pretty personal lyrics (ex. Juicy) too - but it's hard to deny Pac's influence.

Biggie was the better lyricist definitely but Pac's lyrics are nothing to scoff at either, amd he had a lot more emotion in his work.
