I'm American and I was born in 1989. Spongebob would have come out when I was 10 or so. Which means I would have watched the first couple of seasons.
It just seems weird that people can conjure quotes from it well into their adulthood.

Can't speak for murricans but it was played daily here in New Zealand. I'd watch it as a kid after school every day. When they got up to season 4 or 5 they would just go back to the pilot and rerun the entire show. This happened for like 5 years
