All the classics (as well as some rarities) are available on rutracker in high quality rips. On the day [1] Kishinev rated Morton Feldman's 6 hour long second string quartet he rated 12 other releases, all of them albums. At an average of 25 per album, that another 7 hours of music.
He didn't rate any film that day, so his total time appreciating the arts that day was 13 hours. As he was 17 at the time [2] and may 28 was a monday, he might have had to attend his high school classes, so that's about 6 hours of classes.
Even with that he would still have had 5 hours to sleep, not the optimal but still an acceptable amount of hours of rest [3].
With this data I can assure you that Kishinev is, in fact, a legitimate rater and a pillar of RYM culture.

the majority of rich's electroacoustic ratings are from late 2009 and 2010, and svusk came directly afterwards (2011) rating about as much as him very quickly, but with more mysterious choices and a stranger canon. in the avant-teen craze that was at its height, many high-profile users wholesale switched over due to the increasing stigma about droning rich in particular.

First of all, his 4.5s went through a massive overhaul this year. All of his biggest followers (eg Karl and j_c) have already stopped droning him to the degree they used to.
The other thing to consider is that some of his 4.5s are unavailable to anyone other than his inner circle, or even himself in the case of some albums he owns physically. Case in point: for years the Calgary Range Riders album was restricted to wishlists, until Mensa got ahold of a copy and uploaded it to his blog.

I am an eighteen-year-old college student studying archaeology. My interests outside of anime include music and critical theory. I am new to anime, but plan to largely use the same critical ethos I do with music. That is, I absorb a work fully before commenting on it as a whole, while highly valuing a less rabidly optimistic rating scale. Still, because of the overall ratings here and explicit descriptors, my ratings here will sync up more with the parameters listed.
What I value in television shows and narrative media in general is characters first, story second, but great sound or art can win me over immensely. I also really love imaginative, boundary-pushing series and experimentation. As a superficial note, I tend to be better about getting into shorter series, but long series that are well-paced are among my greatest joys in life.
