Climax of Sorrow and Escape II were fun enough, but yeah, this didn't really impress me at all. I think he waited too long to release an album like this. This probably would have been hipster BM defining if it was released 5 years ago. But released now, i'm not really finding any new sounds on this sadly. It's still definitely listenable though.

Destroyer 666 wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. Moonsorrow was uninspiring folk metal. My chart isn't a meme either. Those albums the only standout things this year and it just happens a lot are black metal / death metal.

Messa was decent. Haven't heard Sunnata yet. Schammasch was fucking terrible. Gadget's album was decent too, but yeah I agree it isn't the best grind album. I just tried to pack a variety for the anon. Maurogrind and Rotten Sound's releases were both boring to me. Gadget at least was a little bit more creative then theirs.
