There are people posting on /mu/ RIGHT NOW who have never had a girlfriend. They think the understand feels in music

Virgins feel for sure, otherwise they wouldn't be attracted to this board. They probably feel sad, andgry and frustrated. They understand songs about loneliness, like Spiderland, but they really miss out on a big part of emotional expression in music (being in love, losing love )
>>
good music doesn't have feels related to tangible concepts
>>

Good music is about what it means to be a human being. Existing in the world is a tangible concept. You have to experience great tragedy in order to feel it in the music
>>

I disagree

not many people experience great tragedy

a tough breakup or your average 20-something millenial "depression" is not great tragedy
>>
>>66448166
Slightly agreed, but you don't need to experience to feel certain artistic intentions

Also, what's worse is there are people here who claim to be patrician but don't enjoy music at all. It doesn't matter what your tastes are, if you can't enjoy aptrician music, then you're still a pleb.

well it depends. depression is as much physiological as it is emotional. I agree with you for sure though. people who have gone through real tragedy and shit at a young age isn't super common, I've found. because of this, people don't know how to act when their friends or family do.
>>
>the only meaningful lyrical concept in music is romantic love
I've had a girlfriend before but that's really wrong OP
>>
there is meaning outside of women OP. Michelangelo never married
