Why do people like this album, the lyrics are among the worst I've ever heard. And Daniel Lopatin half assess the production and it sounds dull and uninspired, and her (is the right pronoun?) voice sounds awful.

Personally I only like a few songs off Hopelessness, but really love most of her Antony and the Johnsons stuff. I like her voice.

College has made me terribly out-of-date with music and I just found out this album existed. I'm listening to a couple of singles from this album and it sounds half-assed as fuck. Definitely not digging, a priori, this electronic sound with Antony.
That being said, "I'm a Bird Now" is totally my shit.
