How do you write lyrics? It's destroying me.
I've written an album's worth of music, I think it has a lot of potential, it needs lyrics.
I can come up with themes, metaphors, etc.
But I can't write lines for the song.
Is there how to tips on writing good lines other than "just write what you feel bro"?

Get into rapping even if you're not a fan of the genre. Then go watch someone do legit 'off the dome' freestyle. The key is to hear someone who is not very good, preferably from your local area.
I had a dude in a park ask me to check out his shit on youtube. It wasn't very good but was getting decent views. Thats when I first gave rapping a shot and realised that it really isn't very hard. Also don't beat yourself up about the quality of theme or content at the start. Pretty soon what you really want to say will start to naturally come out. Thats why I almost exclusively rap about White Nationalism

lovers, people, lust, regrets, near death experiences, frustrations, depression, insomnia, phobias, and sometimes even fond memories
most of it is a bit self deprecating and oversharing but I sing good when I hurt and I like it. even in my happier songs I manage to bring that feel.

Good and evil, light and dark, rage and tranquility, in from a perspective that sounds mentally unstable - almost vaguely retarded - and yet lyrically related in a very personable and understandable way, which can sound unnerving because it sounds like this person could completely snap at any minute.
My songs started out just really fun and quirky in a new-sincerity sort of way, but they've been getting stranger lately. It doesn't really feel like it's in my control.

I enjoy two very different kinds of lyrics: storytelling (like Lou Reed) and random shit (like Pavement and MF Doom)
So I have those two styles of writing, and I enjoy telling a story as much as I enjoy spitting out a bunch of gib just for the fun of it. As for the themes I usually touch, I guess it´s personal relationships, nostalgia, cinematic moments, noteworthy things that happened to me or my friends. I try not to write through a personal point of view though, even when describing stuff that happened in my life, I always try to create some character that went through those situations and not me. I only wrote two songs from a "Me to You" perspective because I actually wanted those people to know I was addressing them.
