Not true, any album of theirs before Mummy and Daddy was way different because of that analog sound and samey shit every single album in their early years. Their best work was Mummy and Daddy and beyond that.
You have to listen to Mummy and Daddy. It is an absolute classic, and in my opinion better in a ton of aspects like production, beats, vocals, concept, atmosphere, scarier lyrics, etc... And you have to read the lyrics while you listen to the songs too, because the vocals are distorted and are within the relentless beats.
