Why does /mu/ hate Portishead so much ? They're my favorite band
also post your favorite band

How can they be your favorite band?
How can you have a single favorite band?
>>66368804
because they're the band I listen to the most and the longest

/mu/ is full of contrarians who will literally hate on anything and everything popular

That's sad.

Cocteau Twins

most on mu like portishead tho
I don't think Portishead are hated on here, but they certainly could be more popular. Anyhow my favourites on Dummy are Wandering Star and Pedestal.

>How can you have a single favorite band?
Having a favourite band says nothing about the quantity of music that someone listens to. You didn't say that but you're certainly implying it.

I got the second record of this for $1 in a mystery grab bag of like 10 records. It's pretty great, super different to anything I would normally listen to. Also made the rest of that shit grab bag worth it.

Dummy is one of my favorite albums, so I definitely don't hate them.
>>66368777
most of /mu/ likes Portishead

Looks like everybody likes Portishead mate.

>hating Portishead
Dummy is one of the closest things to an actually flawless record I've ever heard and We Carry On is arguably in my personal top 5 songs.

I thought /mu/ loved Portishead though
Like I've never seen anyone shit about them here

I've seen it on rare occasion, though never with a reason to back it up.

I love Portishead, Third is my favorite.
I liked the first 2-3 listens of each album. Now it's just not enjoyable. Normally good music is much more replayable.
