That electroswing album is not that bad, but it deserve a mediocre 7 to be nice.

A MOTEL MASTERPIECE

I have received the CD and have ripped it in lossless with a log but since you're uneducated about audio compression technology I won't upload it.

WAV is lossless but it's not compressed, and if you actually think audio quality is solely determined by the kbps then no need to say any more senpai
>>
>>66264024
Interesting. Why is compression necessary?
>>
I listened to it twice and don't really have a desire to listen to it any more.

I never imagined that would be the case.
>>
>>66263851
>awesome
>fantastic
Holy shit mate why don't you do us all a favor and become a music critic
>>
>>66264099
To save space why else. There is no loss in quality, there is no need to have a 1.4 gig WAV when it can be a 450 MB FLAC.
>>
>>66264024
I am talking about a high quality rip or some kind of HQ copy of the album, which could be 2822 kbps WAV. Am I missing something here?

A good effort, but not as good as The Why's Alopecia!
>>
>>66264024
Oh I see what you are saying, you don't want to upload it unless it is smaller and compressed.
>>
>>66264024
Well who said I wanted it in compressed format though?
>>
Someone hit me up with a mega link.

this. a better album has not been released.

Not all compression reduces the sound quality.

Compression can be divided into two categories: Lossless compression and Lossy compression.

Lossless compression makes the filesize smaller in a process where no information is lost (which means the sound quality stays the same).
Lossless compression reversible, you are not losing information but only representing it in a way that takes less space.

Lossy compression can reduce the filesize even more by discarding information (preferably in places that aren't obvious like removing all the low bass tones you can't hear anyway on your $5 earbuds). This isn't reversible because you can't get back the information you discarded

Lossless:
> Recording of 100% of musical information with a size of 100mb
> { lossless compression process }
> Recording of 100% of musical information with a size of 80mb

Lossy:
> Recording of 100% of musical information with a size of 100mb
> { lossy compression process }
> Recording of 80% of musical information with a size of 50mb

In your case you can have a 2822kbps WAV file of 1.4GB or a 2822kbps FLAC file of 450MB
The amount of information (2822kbps) stays the same while the filesize differs.
It's both the same information only one file stores it less efficiently.

Good luck to all the people discussing WAV if they ever attempt the what.cd interview.

ANOHNI - HOPELESSNESS
>>
>>66263282
Can you explain this reasoning without ad hominem?
>>
>>66263244

I literally can't comprehend a record topping it this year. I really didn't think they could outdo themselves, but they did it. Shit's perfect.
>>
Not even in, like, the top 30.
>>
>>66263434
Mediocre depends on the overall average score you doofus.
