I have a ms-20m, volca bass, volca drums, and a beatstep pro.

I'm in the planing stages of a Eurorack, hopefully I can pull the trigger in the fall. Pic is what I've got right now, but it'll probably change another 20 times before I actually make the plunge.

euroracks are a meme

>inb4 poorfag
>>
>>66230666
you can't buy synths with flames, so I'd say you're pretty poor satan
>>
>>66230580
What do you want to do? What sort of sounds do you want to make?
>>
Matrixbrute? The most recent video I saw actually made it look badass. Would put off my GAS for a eurorack for a while. But then again, I don't know if I trust Arturia with a $2000 synth.
>>
>>66230676
srsly

they're just big, oversized expensive toys for autists to placate their OCD. They never make music with it, they make cool fart sounds, brag and talk about their setups at muffwiggler, and endlessly change/replace their modules

they're like the puredata/max msp autists who spend months programming a basic arp and synth, make a 30 second loop of a shitty sound sequence and move on to their next autistic project
>>
>>66230762
yeah, but noodling with sounds like that on modular synths and in max/msp is fun m8
>>
>>66230762
Why is that a less valid use of time than slapping some beats together in a DAW?
>>
>>66230747
Yeah don't. The noisey pots and sticky switches in my minibrute aren't quite heartbreaking. In something that big they'd be a problem. Also the steiner parker filter is ok but I wouldn't wanna have it in a $2k synth.
>>
>>66230834
Yeah I'm definitely gonna wait for some reviews before I drop that kind of money.

FYI it's got the steiner parker filter, and a 12b/24b ladder filter with hp, lp, and bp.
>>
>>66230893
Yeah I know but the steiner parker is just not that nice. Also I saw the cutoff sweep is MIDIfied and will zipper like a mother fucker so it'll sound even worse than in my minibrute.

Love the concept of the thing but I can just tell there's gonna be a thousand little things about it that'll bug me.

so what's the verdict on this thing?

tfw no ppg wave gf
>>
>>66231027
Did you see this newish video of it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru2quYHKXp4 sounds a lot better then it did in older videos. I don't hear any zippering on the filter (check around 19:00 into the video).

Honestly, you're probably right though. It'll probably end up being an amazing idea with garbage execution. But I'll keep on dreaming until they get crushed by reality sometime in the next couple months.

Got those in my plan too. Trying to make room to fit an Intellijel Atlantis.
>>
>>66231226
Yeah I saw it. Don't get me wrong, it'll be a beast. I just try to stay cynical.
>>
>>66230650
No filtering?
>>
>>66231306
If you're interested in the Atlantis, maybe check out the Pittsburgh Modular Synth Box. It's another complete voice in one module, not quite as many mod options, but $300 cheaper, and 12hp slimmer. I haven't listened to much by either, but it'd be worth looking into.
>>
>>66231431
>Pittsburgh Modular Synth Box
I'll check it out. My big appeal in the Atlantis is it seems to be voiced a lot like an SH-101 which always seemed like a natural partner to an MS-20.
>>
>>66231245
>one example

wow you sure convinced me
>>
>>66231421
There will be, I just haven't decided what I want yet. Got any modules you like? I've already got the filter in the ms-20m I can use, so I've got that nasty resonance thing already, probably gonna look for something not as aggressive, or at least something with more versatility.
>>
>>66231502
I'm still planning as well but I like the look of the Mannequins Three Sisters and Intellijel Atlantis.
>>
>>66231502
Remember you'll need something like an English Tear to use the MS-20 with eurorack stuff, unless I missed something in your picture.

Intellijel Polaris.
>>
>>66231584
It's the MS-20m, not the mini. It's good to go with euro.
>>
>>66231075
everyone should have one
>>
>>66231654
My bad. The MS-20M wasn't available here so I always forget they exist.

Is it confirmed that the filter is arp based? Some guy did a comparison and they sounded similar.
