Thoughts on New Radicals

i like gregg alexander's early solo stuff better, like how it's completely melodramatic without being aware of it
You Get What You Give is in my top 10 favorite songs of all time

Is that the Stone Roses?

Their one album is some god-tier pop rock. I really wish they had done more.

what they are doing now?

Two of them died from substance abuse.
Gregg Alexander has cancer.
The bassist lives with his family in Canada.
Every song on that album is a masterpiece of pop music.
One of the guys in the background is my uncle Jerry

I love the only album they ever put out. The guy's a fantastic vocalist.
it's a shame gregg alexander never released any more music. he has such a wonderful voice and his songs makes me nostalgic for the 90s like no other songwriter.
i read somewhere that it's his penchant for simple piano chords. i think that's why you get what you give works so well.
too bad we only have demos and shitty recordings
