I've been drumming for about a year, I'm a little depressed/writers block/bored whatever. I finally have a decent kit, just need new cymbals and drum heads. But I'm bored, what are some things I can learn or do that's fun? I play blast beats and I'm pretty good at them to about 160bpm, I started doing jazz, the purdie shuffle, trying out reggae even. I'm just bored and instead of playing for hours straight I get frustrated and stop playing. I love to jam with people but I only know three or four guys and our schedules don't align for a 'full band' session. Should I start looking for churches to drum at? Craigslist ad "hey drummer lookng for whatever"?

How are your odd times? Polyrhythms? Polymeters? There's a lot of cool shit to practice that doesn't feel too repetitive.
Hey OP i cant help you out but can you help me out, since theres no drumming general, where should I start of with drumming, ive had a shitty tama kit since 07 but I never really got past doing shitty simple beats. What techniques should I start learning. I didnt want to watch beginner youtube video and have the dude explain to me what he part of the kit is named and what it sounds like.

Not OP but I'd say just play what you know until you can play it better, then play new variations on what you know until you can play those better and so on. There's no real "learn this thing to level up" technique, everything is just grinding to improve your muscle memory, speed and coordination. It doesn't particularly matter what you play as long as you're playing and pushing yourself.
What kind of music do you gravitate towards?

I wanted to learn how to play math, so polyrhythms and such, but I think that starting point is far too high.

TIME. TIME. TIME. Don't play anything you can't count, you'll regret it later. I forget the name but it was drum techniques for the snare drummer, a book with a collection of rudiments and fills that you can learn and then apply to the kit. I'm going to assume you're hot garbage so try jazz, it's helped me separate my limbs and keep my time on point while still having room to go around the kit and have fun with it. Should help you get a base for polyrhythms.
My main problem is my shitty cymbals, bad sound makes it hard for me to play.

Thank you anon ill try that out.

You'd think that but it's actually a lot easier to get started than it sounds, just because most people playing in odd times happen to beastly doesn't mean that you need to be able to shred through super fast fills to hold down a simple 7/8 or something, y'know? Just work on your counting and play in as many odd meters as you can to get a feel for those and then learn and practice the basic polyrhythms like 3-2, 3-4 and 4-5. All I play is math rock and I suck so anyone can do it.
This is a really simple introductory beat to grind out (the video is like ten times longer than it needs to be though): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn4spSM5RF4
